This weekend's new movies were full of A-list talent but Sony's cute animated characters topped them all. Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs made $30.1 million at the box office. The children's book adaptation in 3D had a huge lead over The Informant!, which earned $10.5 million. Last week's champ, Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself, followed next at No. 3.

Unfortunately, the other new offerings of the weekend had disappointing debuts. Most of you said you were excited about Jennifer Aniston's Love Happens, but at $8.4 million the movie only made enough to garner fourth place. Jennifer's Body finished out the top five with $6.8 million.

i knew that the movie would come in 1st place. it was the only one to get really good reviews actually. anyway,i went to see jennifer's body and it was really surprising because there were like 4 people in the theater other than us, and we really thought there would be more.
1SO CUUUUUTE! Awww, my childhood.
2I'm not at all surprised that "Jennifer's Body" is a bomb. The producers insisted on putting that Megan Fox person upfront in the advertising and nobody really wants to see her outside of the "Transformers" movies!! I hate to sound mean but I'm really hoping this bomb spells the end of her "career" in the movies. I don't think I can stand to read/hear anymore of her stupid, vapid quotes about life and love. Her co-workers are right . . . the girl is dumb as a box of rocks.
Also, I think even Jennifer Aniston's fans are getting sick of her movies!!! Unfortunately, this summer Jennifer filmed two more romcoms. The woman needs to change up and make a movie that requires some acting.
3I saw this movie this weekend and I didn't really like it as much as others but I knew it was going to be a hit because of the fact that it was one of the few kid friendly movies playing that are new and families like to do things on the weekends together.
