The details are still coming together, but we may not have seen the last of Harrison Ford in his Indiana Jones fedora just yet. At the Deauville Film Festival, Ford mentioned that George Lucas and Steven Spielberg are working on yet another Indy sequel, saying, "The story for the new Indiana Jones is in the process of taking form. Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and myself are agreed on what the fifth adventure will concern, and George is actively at work. If the script is good, I'll be very happy to put the costume on again."

Though Ford didn't exactly announce Shia's LaBeouf involvement, the young actor also recently mentioned that Spielberg was working on a sequel when he was promoting Transformers 2. While nothing is set in stone, it's hard to imagine that Ford would reject a script from Lucas and Spielberg after so many years of working together. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull scored big at the box office, but many of you thought the sequel was unnecessary. So now the real question is — are you on board with yet another Indy movie?

Well, I think a 5th installment would be a financial success. Because of massive appeal to the senior citizen set.
But, after this one, if they want to do a number 6. They are going to have to completely dismantle and cast young; follow the format for restructing "Star Trek".
I would go see the new movie regardless. But, in order for me to enjoy it, they have got to put some romance in the script. And truthly, I would prefer to see the series retire while it is still on top.

1Not to tell tales out of school, but I saw Karen Allen at Dragoncon and she said that Spielberg told her there was going to be a "5".... they are obviously going to pass the torch on to Shia during that movie and from there on, he will be the new Jones.
2The new Indiana Jones movie better be good! I hated Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
3For is getting too old for action movies. During every stunt in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull all I could think was "His poor back! I hope he doesn't pull something..." He doesn't move fast enough anymore.
4enough already sheesh
5I'd check it out. I love Fords work and this also means that Shia would be doing more action scenes since his character is supposed to be learning from, and/or taking over for his father.
