Every Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I post a Recast challenge, where I ask you to choose new actors for a classic TV show or movie. The reader who submits the best cast wins a BuzzSugar t-shirt!
This week's recast challenge was a fond favorite for many of you, so I was delighted to see how thoughtful the recast lists were! Some of my favorite ideas include casting Frankie Muniz or Michael Cera as Marty McFly, as both actors have that youthful earnestness.
I also enjoyed many of the suggestions submitted for the character of Doc Brown, such as Steve Buscemi, and emei47's idea of Robert Downey Jr. Finally, selecting who should play the villainous Biff Tannen seemed to be a fun challenge for some of you, and I especially liked BunGirl's pick of Owen Wilson. BunGirl also posted her own cast photo, which I thought was awesome.
However, my favorite recast list this week comes from CocoChic! She wondered if we were casting these characters as teenagers or as adults. 1I always want to take part in these recast challenges but I can never think of who I'd rather see in that part. The moment a new movie is put up, my mind goes blank.

12Great job! I think the only one throwing me off is Adam only because I wonder if he's geeky enough to play George? But Shia, Rachel, and Johnny are great pics! I think Johnny could bring a little sexiness to Doc that I wasn't expecting! Plus, he's just eccentric enough to pull that character off! Brilliant choice!

18I think Carmack would make a GREAT Biff(you'd know if you watched The OC). I think Brody should be Marty and not George, though...Brody played a total geek on The OC.
19SORRY but i am going to have to call BUZZSUGAR out on this one. Dont you think that if someone has already been RECAST in a movie here, you cannot recast them again....especially because there are so many actors to choose from!!!!

22Good cast. But predictable names - Rachel McAdams, as much as I love her, is recast in every movie/tv show every week.
23CaterpillarGirl — Thanks for weighing in. However, I'm not going to select a recast based entirely on the fact that the actors haven't yet been used in a recast. I'd rather pick the recast list with the actors that seem best for the roles. That's what the recast challenge is about. So, no, I don't think that if actors have already been used then they shouldn't be chosen again. In real life, actors sometimes actually appear in more than one movie each.
24Actually, alynn, Rachel McAdams has been in exactly one other recast ever. She was chosen for the "Sex and the City" recast in addition to this one. She is not chosen every week. You can check all the old recasts to make sure if you'd like.
25K- just saying its not that "wow" factor when youve seen em already two weeks ago.
26truly, i am not trying to sound like a B*tch, i just think that this "recast" thing is awesome, it gives us all a chance to be creative, and really really think about the "what ifs" and i wait with baited breath to see what the final recast is every time!
27Ha ha, thanks CaterpillarGirl, I'm really glad you like the recasts! And you always submit great, thoughtful casts, which is super cool. It's also such a subjective thing; what I envision is probably going to be different than what some others envision, so I suppose we should expect conflicts from time to time! Definitely keep playing because I'm always intrigued to see what you come up with every week.
