Is it really September already? I cannot believe it's Labor Day weekend and the Summer is drawing to a close. Before we start focusing on the films coming to theaters this Fall, though, let's cast a look back at the dog days of Summer and the movies that came with them (and made
this season a box office record-breaker). I'll list the ones I found most enjoyable, and I hope you chime in with your favorites from Summer '09 as well.

I think Up is DEFINITELY the best movie that I've seen in a long time.
1My favorite movie this summer was definitely 500 Days of Summer.
2I loved The Hangover and I really enjoyed 500 Days of Summer as well.
3I really disliked 500 days of Summer : there is nothing going on, it's very cliché, and The actors are not that great. i was really disappointed
4While I enjoyed 500 Days of Summer, I have to agree with babache - the director really tried too hard by inserting too many styles cribbed from other movies (the split screen! the dance montage! the black and white! the voiceover! the he said she said!). My faves were District 9 and Up.
