Hooray for "Big Love"! HBO's polygamy drama will return for a third season — as many installments as Bill Henrickson has wives.
The show hasn't exactly had an easy year this year, holding down the fort for HBO alone on Monday nights. According to Variety, the show is averaging about 2 million viewers per episode — half what it got following "The Sopranos" in its first season. But HBO believes that over the course of a week of repeats, DVR playbacks and On Demand airings, the show rounds up as many as 6 million viewers. The new season order is for 12 episodes, same as the first and second seasons.
"Big Love" will get another shot on Sundays soon: HBO also announced that the final two episodes will air first on Sundays at 9 p.m., the slot currently occupied by "John from Cincinnati." "John" will vacate the slot as of Aug. 12, when its first season wraps up; "Big Love" then will take it over for episodes airing Aug. 19 and Aug. 26. Those episodes will air on Mondays as well.

I'm glad! I love Big Love. I don't know why but it has totally captivated me. It's just so interesting to watch these people's lives. Thanks HBO for giving it (and us) another season!
1I love this show and hate the move to Mondays. HBO sucks now on Sunday nights now and so does every other network. I'm glad I have more episodes to look forward to!
2YESSSSS!!!!!!!! : W O O H O O :
3Yes! I love this show. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait until it comes out on DVD since I don't have HBO.
4It hasn't lived up the last season to me yet. But, I am glad it will be back.
5I started watching the 2nd season , got lured into it and now am waiting for delivery from Netflix for Season 1, trying to catch up and understand it all, I am happy there is 3rd season, I enjoy watching how interesting it is to have 3 wifes and one big Family!
6DVD for me, too, but I was so excited when I was at the beach last week and got to watch on HBO!
7YAY! I absolutely heart this show -- I love Margine
8Even though I missed all of Season 1 (I'm waiting for Netflix, too!), I've really become addicted to this show. It's a must-see for me each week. All of the sister-wives are great.
9I have to echo Mel in that this show is absolutely captivating. It is so intriguing! I cannot peel my eyes away from the screen! Yay for Big Love!
10Big love, as a pose to small love
