I know many of you die-hard Harry Potter fans stayed strong over the week when folks were posting all sorts of spoilers of the 7th book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, because you knew you'd be voraciously reading the book itself this weekend.
So? Do you have it? Are you dying from over-excitement? Or did you end up on a waitlist when your local bookstore ran out of copies?

Haven't yet - but it seemed like everyone on the subway last night had a copy though!
Also, I voted for your blog for best Blog Design on the Blogger's Choice Awards http://www.bloggerschoiceawards.com/blogs/show/6317). Your blog is very clean and interesting.
Good Luck!
1Just got notice from Amazon that my copy is on its way!
2oh i've got it (and just finished reading!), but the wait wasnt hours. even without a reservation, the wait was only 1/2 from midnight.
3i'm waiting for my copy that i ordered online. it's "shipping to final destination." i am by the window waiting for my UPS man to come knockin on my door.
4I'm waiting anxiously for the mail (ordered my online via Amazon). This waiting is agony! I'm kicking myself for not braving the crowds at the bookstore last night to get a copy sooner.
5I'm gonna wait until the craziness dies down. I'll probably get it when my summer classes are over, then I'll have some downtime before fall semester begins.
6I got it for my brother this morning. No queuing in the crazy daylight hours, no crowds. I walked into Sainsbury's and picked it up.
7I got it this morning. No lines or anything.I'm actually just here to take a break from reading.I'm on page 200, and I don't want to be finished with it too quickly!
8noooo.
my dad is getting it now, because my mom didn't pick it up on her way home from work
this morning like i asked her to last night..
9i'll definitely be reading it all day.
Waited in line last night and then spent today reading it- and thoroughly enjoyed it!
10yes and no. i pre-ordered mine on amazon.ca for the longest time, and it won't arrive until next week!!! I should've just waited and bought it last night or something... now i have to go through extra days of waiting...
11Other. Yes, we have it, but we didn't wait in line. We were going to go to Borders and get it but I had to pick up a few things at Target so we went there first and there were like a million of them sitting at the register, so we just grabbed one. Hubby is reading it right now!
12Yep I bought it, I had to wait in line for an hour. I'm not going to read it until I reread a few of the books before that one.
13i got it at midnight last night and just finished reading (had some distractions, but no sleep)
it was the perfect finish, IMO, not counting the epilogue.
14I wish I had just gone to the store rather than pre-ordering mine online. My order shipment has been posted as "In Transit to Final Destination" since yesterday morning. It's nearly 4 pm and still no UPS man. Know I'm being childish but c'mon, have waited years already.
15Please Mr. UPS Man !!
16I ordered online back in May and it still hasn't arrived yet? WTF?
17I went to a release party and waited for a couple hours... then we went across the street to a grocery store and got one right away. No pre-order necessary. They were even having a party there lol.
18I tried to stay up all night, but only made it a third through before crashing. More today!
I'm beginning to think that my so called pre-order isn't going to get here today. WTF indeed.
19I never got into the Harry Potter craze. Hmm, now with it ending I might check out the books, but I'm sure to find out spoilers to this last book somewhere before I would finish the series.
Although this is tv, with The X-Files, I have only seen S1 from beginning to end and then various eps from other seasons on tv. And I was trying to avoid what happened on the series finale ep, until I've seen all the other seasons, but lo and behold I was reading an article and the ending came up.
Oh,well!
20I went to Tesco's last night at about 11.40pm. There were only a few people there waiting too so everyone got a copy easily. Came home, read several chapters, fell asleep in the early hours of the morning and only woke up a couple of hours ago
It 9pm here now!
21Got my copy at 12:01 and I FINALLY FINISHED IT JUST NOW!! Its so good, I seriously am considering rereading it again already because I don't want it to be over!!
22Got mine at 8:00 am, started reading at 8:10 am, and finished just a few hours ago.
23i havent got mine, but i work in a library so i got to read some of it already from the new copies that came in =D
24I just went to Target and saw about twenty on the shelves. Then I read the ending and was done. Never got into the HP phase but I am happy that people are excited about reading.
25not a harry potter fan, so it's not happening. my sister got the book however and i managed to read the ending so i can spoil it to all my overzealous friends
when the last book came out, i was jokingly talking to one of my coworkers and said, 'snape kills dumbledore' (whatever that means) and he completely went ape $#!T on me, he's at least ten years older than me so i found it kind of amusing but frightening at the same time someone would be so worked up over a book...
26I'll wait!!!!!
27I got mine at midnight last night! and finished the book 3 hours ago.
2890% of my f-list on LiveJournal was reaction posts, and I got desperate enough to track down the carpet book and start reading that, but now my husband brought home a copy of the real thing for me! Yay! Who needs sleep?
29mine was waiting for me when i got home today and 6 hours later... i was done. yeah, i'm psycho.
30I never read the books but I love the movies.
31got mine at 11am yesterday the 21st here in new zealand. read it all of yesterday but i have lots of homework to do so will get back to it tonight.
32Yup - finished it in six hours. Now I'm re-reading it.
I still don't know hwo I feel about it- but I thought the epilogue SUCKED.
33reserved it a month ago at whsmith - walked right in and got it (despite the fact that everywhere around where I live is under about six foot of water and most of the roads are blocked!)
eight hours and finished reading - FAB book! thought the ending was perhaps too cliche but if it wasn't there I would have been disappointed it wasn't 'finished' properly
34I ordered mine online, but it hasn't come yet and it probably won't be here until the ending of the week. They always come like 5 days later because I don't live in US so they have to re ship it.
35I read about it on Wikipedia. It sounds like a good book.
36I finished it yesterday, it cried twice during. The ending could have been better but i'm content with it =) gives me closure hahaha
37i know a few people who lined up toget it at midnight in tescos, but im not really that botherd, im more the film girl for it, i just hope no one blerts out whats happend at the end, that will really bug me.
38i got mine yesterday off of amazon and while i haven't finished it, i am offically sleep deprived and have a headache from staying up til 2 in the morning reading it. but it's so good, it's worth it!
39I stayed up til 1am last night and woke up at 8am and started reading again. I didn't wait in line, just go it Saturday morning. I LOVE IT! I finished and thought it was perfect! It's going to be tough to put it into a movie, but I don't care. I love it! I'm sad it's over though
40I can't wait to read it.
41I ordered mine online, and it arrived with the mail Saturday. I just finished reading it, actually!
42waited 45 mins outside of my local books etc to get one at midnight, and it was soooo worth it!!!!!!!!!!
43finnished it in 6.5 hours... got it at midnight didn't pre-order, and didn't have to wait in line... I went to my local grociery store because they were selling it there.... no crowds no nothing it was awesome
44I have read and re-read it. It answered alot of questions for others...maybe mine were mundane..but what happened to Faulkes? And where is the drunken elf that Dobby was caring for?
45i pre-ordered it on amazon, but it's not coming till the end of next week! soo lame!
46For the last four books I have made it a ritual to wait in line and get it at midnight plus 1. I'm on my second reading of it now... I enjoyed it tho I did get ambushed by a spoiler last week,,, it's all about the journey. Will be an awesome movie... and if she did it right - she could continue the saga a bit more. Tom Clancy did it with Jack Ryan
47chaboogie... its really aweful that you would spoil the book for someone, I mean its actually quite cruel when you think about it do you do it just for the pleasure of absolutly ruining something for soemone else? Just because you don't care to share in the fun does NOT mean you should ruin it for anyone else! some of us have been reading these books for a long time, and have waited a LONG time to have these questions answered...
48...since everyone is so anxious to have one, ill just wait till the craze steam down hahahaha....
49Well, i ordered it online months ago, but i won't get it until today. So on Friday night, on my way home from the bar, i stopped by a children's bookstore and was able to get another copy, and i didn't have to wait in line at all.
I've already finished the book, now i just have to wait for my friends to finish so i can start talking about it!
