Nicole Kidman + Monte Carlo + Romance + Comedy = Today's News
The equation says it all: Nicole Kidman has signed onto star in and produce a romantic comedy titled Monte Carlo, according to Variety.
What's the story about?
"Kidman...will play one of three Midwestern schoolteachers who ditch a disappointing no-frills holiday in Paris and pose as wealthy women vacationing in Monaco."
Could be promising...
I'm still iffy on Kidman as a comedic actress. She was cute-funny at times in Moulin Rouge, but watching her in Bewitched was so awkward I sometimes had to look away from the screen. Then again, Bewitched had many more problems than just Kidman's breathy delivery. The plot of Monte Carlo sounds cute, though, so I'll give this project a shot.

Buzz i agree i will give this movie a shot. actually i'm the type to give Nicole more shots than one in her movies. Yes I actually watched Stepford Wives and Bewitched.
However, I CAN NOT WAIT FOR INVASION TO COME OUT WITH HER AND DANIEL "YUMMY" CRAIG. who's with me on this one?
1Im with you. Daniel Craig is extremely yummy. This movie might be OK
2She was hilarious in that movie wear she was a weather girl.
And I loved her in MR.
3Miami.. To Die For with Joaquin Phoenix
This sounds like a slight twist on How to Marry a Millionaire which I think they wanted her for..hmm perhaps?
4WELL, I think its just ok
5I would go see it. I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt and see if she can play funny. Maybe she just hasn't found the right movie yet. Look at Meryl Streep. It took a long time for her to try comedy because it is so hard to pull off.
6Another movie roll? What about all her talk about slowing down if she ever got married again? Or all the "barefoot and pregnant" talk? Or the "I'm not sure I will still want to do this when I turn 40" talk? "I want a goat". She says all this, but all you ever hear is her signing on for more and more movie rolls with no consideration for her husband or children. If they want to see her, they have to go to her. She's seen her kids one week each since April. How sad is that. She needs to get her priorities in order.
7Seriously; I don't know if anyone has seen her movie 'To Die For'! If you didn't, I really suggest you go watch it because she's really hilarious in it! She didn't win a Golden Globe for that performance for nothing (and, was seriously snubbed at the Academy Awards.)
8I think people should stop this obsession with people having children--especially concerning women. Not everyone is meant to be parents, and not everyone is meant to be a biological parents. There are so many children stuck in the foster care system or unwanted at adoption agencies because people are obsessed with the notion of having their "own" children.
