Sure, the newly released full trailer for Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium smacks of Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but there are some key differences:
- Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium is not a remake of a classic movie starring Gene Wilder that was darn near perfect the first time.
- Dustin Hoffman as the kooky magic guy is lovable, kindly and endearing, rather than the slightly deranged Willy Wonka (and I love Willy Wonka, but I also like Hoffman's sweetness).
- Jason Bateman is in this movie! As you may know, Bateman is one of my favorite people to watch. He even made The Ex almost bearable.

This looks like a fun movie.
1Natalie Portman is adorable. After seeing the trailer in the theater last weekend, all the kids who were there to see Ratatouille were begging the adults with them to take them to see this movie. The Thanksgiving release should be a bonus as well. Looks like fun.

6Buzz about this movie's been going around for a long time (not X-Files 2 long but still). It's about time! The cast looks interesting and I have to uphold my promise to watch anything involving an Arrested Development series regular (even if it is an absolute piece of crap film like Let's Go to Prison)
7Phil, please tell me you were kidding about subjecting yourself to watching Let's Go to Prison. I mean I love the cast of Arrested Development but it's not like I would waste money watching crap. lol.
8I'm not so sure about the movie, th trailer i saw in the theatre left me thinking it was one of those awful wannabe kids movies. Maybe i'm wrong but it looks like it sucks.
