The Bourne movies are action flicks that I can get behind. What with the high-speed chases, clever plots to elude the authorities and Matt Damon (who I enjoy watching despite my suspicion that he's not quite the sharpest tool in the shed — sorry, Pop!) looking cute while fighting the bad guys, there's enough stuff going on to keep me engaged.
So the fact that this new, full-length trailer for The Bourne Ultimatum has me excitedly awaiting the August 3 release is no big surprise, but it is a happy one. According to the IMDB plot description, "Bourne races to discover the final mysteries of his past while a government agent tries to track him down after a shootout in Moscow." I'm so excited about this movie. I think a Bourne marathon is in order...
1Im excited about this too!
2I cannot wait for this!
3Bourne Marathon - good idea!
4Actually he went to Harvard and wrote the screenplay for Good Will Hunting. I think he's pretty smart.
5I LOOOOVVEE the Bourne movies, and I'm really excited about this one also. I had my doubts about Matt Damon being cast as Jason before I saw the first one but he is perfect and really becomes the character. I've always gotten the impression he was very intelligent, but thats just me.
6I am so excited for this movie to come out! I really enjoy the first two, and I am excited to see how the movie wraps the series up.
7Somehow this got posted a couple months ago and I got to see it on Team- it gives me chills and I can't wait!
8Yes, I know he wrote Good Will Hunting, and he very well may be quite intelligent. I'm saying that's how he comes across to me.
9I disagree about the comment that Matt's "not the sharpest tool in the shed" because he actually went to Harvard. He didn't graduate because he got caught up with his acting career but I think he still deserves props for actually getting in to Harvard. His mom's really smart too...PhD and all...
10Love it- can't wait for this. He is great in this role. Has anyone read the books?
11he is sooooooooooooooo yummy
12the first one
the way he looked at Franka Potente made me melt
Matt Damon is perfect as Jason Bourne. He uses that half-step- behind-approach to figuring things out well in the role of Jason, which adds to the excitement of the films. Can't imagine anyone else playing Jason Bourne.
13I enjoyed Bourned Identity very much but have yet to see Bourne Supremacy. Was it any good, Buzz?
14pinkflats — Yes, Bourne Supremacy actually was really good! Especially for an action sequel which can sometimes fall into lame-world after the first smash success. I still like Bourne Identity the most, but Supremacy really is a great movie. It's most notable for it's great direction, which is much more than we can say about certain other movies.
15hahahaha, that movie should remain nameless for now. Thanks for letting me know about Bourne Supremacy. Will rent it before I see the third one.
Oh by the way, I agree with you what said about Matt Damon. I know he went to an Ivy League college, so did Edward Norton. But somehow Norton seems to exude intelligence more than Damon on my book.
16What exactly about Matt Damon comes across as less than intelligent? I am just really curious. To me he seems incredibly intelligent, sharp as a tack, very well read, and he is always articulate.
17He's come across as average lately, even as a hanger-on to the Clooney/Pitt entourage, like a little boy w/ a man crush on the "cool" guys. I remember when he came out of the gates in '97 and he was quite witty.
He got into Harvard as a non-athlete and non-legacy student, but if I remember correctly, I think him being from Cambridge helped. I do know that Ben applied and got rejected (Shock!).
18omg, so so excited!
19Does anyone know the song they use in the trailer - actually the second song at the end of the new trailer? Thanks!!
20Love Matt Damon!
