First of all:
There's going to be a feature-length film version of Eloise in Paris, based on the beloved children's book all about the precocious and privileged little six-year-old New Yorker, Eloise.
Secondly:
The movie will be written and directed by Charles Shyer, co-writer of such beloved movies as Father of the Bride and Baby Boom. What's more, his writing partner will be his 19-year-old daughter, Annie Meyers-Shyer, who he has with his screenwriter wife Nancy Meyers (who helped Shyer write the aforementioned movies, who is responsible for The Holiday, and who recently won an award).
How cute is that?
A father-daughter team writing an Eloise movie? Adorable. However, I can't quite get over the fact that the two screenwriters decided to hyphenate their kid's last name so it is Meyers-Shyer.
Now for the big question:
Who should play Eloise? The books have already made it to ABC as TV movies, but this is the big screen. Come on, expert Buzz recasters, start naming Eloise possibilities!

It'll be a Fanning. Dakota is too old, so probably Elle. Unless there's a whole other litter of towheaded, precocious Fanning girls just waiting in the wings...

2I thought the little girl that was in the Eloise TV movies was a good choice, but she's too old now. I don't think either of the Fanning girls would work. I would almost prefer if it was an unknown. That way we can believe she's actually Eloise
3I think Elle Fanning could play the role.
4Yeah, I expect Ms. Elle Fanning will get this one. I wonder if Reese Witherspoon's daughter Ava is an actress? She has the right look.

9I just think they should pick anyone other than the Fanning sisters.As soon they are casting a movie that needs a little girl they pick them and there are so many other child actresses that they could pick.

12Bookgrl, I'm with you, sister. They need a fresh face, I can't abide those Fanning girls, they look like they stepped out of the Shining. I'm a very pale, but those two are literally transparent. I think they may be aliens.

16i'm not a eloise fan at all, so hopefully they choose a girl that will convince me this is going to be a cute movie.

Perfect casting. She was engaging, and talkative and delightful. 
I'm quite fond of both Little Elle and Abigail, but an unknown would work much better.
