Along with preparing for the opening of Transformers next Tuesday July 3 and working on the fourth Indiana Jones movie, Shia LaBeouf has signed on to team up with his Disturbia director D.J. Caruso for another project. Titled Eagle Eye, the movie has Shia starring as "a young slacker whose overachieving twin brother has died mysteriously. When the young man returns home, both he and a single mother find they have been framed as terrorists. Forced to become members of a cell that has plans to carry out a political assassination, they must work together to extricate themselves."

Yipes! Well, the Disturbia duo have proven themselves more than capable of doing the thriller thing, so I'm looking forward to this project. For now, check out this video of Shia talking about meeting Harrison Ford and being overwhelmed by Ford's coolness. I had no idea that Shia said things like "he's not really a Hollywood cat" until I saw this video but now that I know that, I have to say I love the little guy a bit more. It also looks like he might cry while he gushes about Ford, which is weird and sweet. To see the video, read more

I'm not really one for thrillers, but I'm super excited about Transformers and I like Shia. I'm glad to see him be able to achieve a serious career after breaking free from Disney.
1Yay. I like thrillers and I like Shia.
2I enjoying seeing sincere, articulate young actors. Shia is sweet.
3He's just adorable. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that he keeps a good head on his shoulders.
4And Harrison Ford is pretty cool. I used to have a friend who worked at my favorite Mexican restaurant and he snapped at her because she was taking too long. She told him to wait his turn, she was working alone that day, and he actually thanked her for putting him in his place because nobody ever does and sometimes he needs reminding.
5I freaking
Shia.. I don't know what it is.. but, I freaking
him. Haha. Can't wait for Eagle Eye.. sounds good, I'm interested to see who they'll cast as his
mother..?
Maybe.. CZJ?
6Wow the plot of Eagle Eye sounds intense, hope it turns to be a good one. Cute video. he did look like he is about to cry when talking aboutr Harrison Ford.
i think he uses words like "a Hollywood cat' because for his love for old movies. i read somewhere that he rather watch a marathon og charlie chaplin movies than go clubbing.
7Cool news, I love thrillers. And i'm really diggin' this kid lately. I thought Disturbia was a great movie, looking forward to Transformers too.
