No reality TV for me...

I almost always stay away from reality TV, competition shows, and multi-camera sitcoms/any sitcom that uses a laugh track (it's a bit condescending to an audience, and a poor reflection of screenwriters, to cue points where people should laugh).

Of course, there are exceptions. How I Met Your Mother is excellent, despite the laugh-track, I'm currently enjoying the surprisingly addictive Explorer, as well as Man vs. Wild and Survivorman, and Top Chef/Masters.

Unless some unlikely renaissance were to happen to reality tv, competition shows, and single camera comedies, it's highly doubtful any of them would be worth watching unless I were obliged.

I usually stay far away from reality TV, although I do admit to loving The Hills, and occasionally partaking in The Biggest Loser.

I'm super squeamish so no hospital/docto-dramas for me — I've never seen any of ER or Grey's Anatomy!

I've never seen any cop,doctor, lawyer shows(hate profession related shows). also no reality tv for the most part. I prefer comedies(family guy, that's 70 show) and fantasy (reaper,supernatural,true blood,buffy)

I also don't enjoy watching crime, legal, or medical dramas. My favorite shows are mostly comedies but my favorite shows this summer have been Cake Boss and The Little Couple which I guess kinda fall in the reality TV category.

Until Nurse Jackie, I never liked any hospital dramas.. My two sisters burned me out with their medical jargon/shop talk.

I love Big Brother, Survivor and Celebrity Apprentice. But I just never could get into American Idol. And I used to sing.. I dont know

I cant stand any of the 50 different "Judge" shows.

I wouldn’t say that I actively avoid reality shows – there are many classics that I still enjoy: Survivor, Amazing Race, America’s Next Top Model, The Bachelor (sometimes) – but too many of them are pure trash, which has besmirched the entire genre.

But generally I will try anything once. Never used to be a fan of detective series, and now they’re my favorite genre of all.

any 1/2 hour sitcoms. Soap Operas, criminal/law dramas, court tv, entertainment shows (ET, inside edition, etc) or any show involving tyler payne.

I stay as far away as possible from soap operas and sci-fi shows

I don't watch reality, fantasy/sci fi, or 1/2 hour sitcoms (HIMYM and Better Off Ted are two exceptions to the latter). I am a big fan of the hour-long ensemble cast drama.

Cop and medical shows and soaps are not my cup of tea. At all.

Reality TV dating shows! Reality TV is hard to take to begin with but the dating shows are the worst!

I don't watch any shows about lawyers, cops, doctors, if it has CSI in the title, I immediately change it, most reality shows and generally sci-fi.

Any reality show that is about dating or weddings. They are just so trashy, but at least they make me understand the high divorce rate better...

Gosh, I'm thinking I must be a TV Grinch. I realize after reading the comments here that I have never watched any reality show (even the ever popular AI), game show or soap opera (those are major ewwws), rarely have I seen a full episode of a cop drama or sci-fi series or even the hour-long prime-time dramas (I think I may have seen 2 or 3 Losts but that didn't last long). So what the heck do I watch? The occasional Big Bang Theory (kind of cute) or Jon Stewart or Ellen's show. I'd really rather pop in a CD and listen to some good music or just watch a good movie.

- MTV reality shows (guilty pleasures "The Hills" and "The City" being exceptions)
- daytime soap operas
- singing/dancing reality shows (e.g. SYTYCD, American Idol)

I haaaaate lawyer shows. I have no idea why but don't like watching them, whether they be comedies or dramas. I also hate pretty much any show on MTV or VH1... not really a genre but there we go.
