Homecoming, starring Mischa Barton and 90210's Jessica Stroup, looks like one of those "scary" movies that just makes people laugh hysterically. It misses the mark entirely when it comes to suspense but works quite well as a comedy. Stroup plays the new girlfriend of a guy (Matt Long) who used to date this crazy obsessed girl (Barton). Of course, the ex-girlfriend goes after the new girlfriend because she is so jealous and so crazy.
You know, these movies do serve a kind of purpose. They're so silly and mindless, they're good for an amusing movie night when you just don't want to think. I don't think I'll pay to see Homecoming in the theaters when it opens July 17, but by the time Halloween rolls around I'll probably be in the mood to pop in the DVD. I agree, Buzz. It's so cheesy and poorly put together, that I can't wait to watch it and laugh!
1LOL at the end when she says "I want you to start appreciating my hospitality"! Poor Jessica Stroup, she's better than this.
2Oh dear gracious...
hilarious!
3haha, I totally agree. I also agree about Jessica Stroup; I know these movies are super cheap and easy to make and they make a lot of money; but she deserves better than this. and why does eveyone in this movie have to be blond? both actressses look way better with dark hair...
4Poorly done. No offense but I've seen people on Youtube make fake trailers better than this. I guess that says something about the movie.
5mischa and jessica surely can get onto better films than this?!
6i'm surprised such a poorly written film and bad concept (been done so many times before and better) attracted them in the first place.
(saying all that- ha i'll probably rent it
)
7hahahahaha....I'll probably rent this for a laugh, too. Poor Mischa...I think she could actually play a psycho (after all, Marissa Cooper certainly had psychotic moments!), but not a 'dangerous' psycho.
8Wow, this is bad! You were right, Buzz. I may rent it just to laugh...
9also does that say a film by morgan freeman?! man i do expect more from him!!!!
10c4rolin3 — hahaha, yeah, it's a different Morgan Freeman, thank goodness! The director of this movie is Morgan J. Freeman.
11Good God, that looks awesome. Mischa Barton is my pick for most awkward actress ever.
