It looks like Michael Cera (or maybe someone pretending to be Michael Cera) has been thinking "aloud" (or via Twitter) about future Superbad projects. He first twittered that he wants to do a movie with Jonah Hill and Jason Bateman (ending with the words: "Good idea?!"), and then he followed up with this one:
Decided I'm gonna contact Jonah and Jason tomorrow. See what they think about doing a movie. Maybe, just an idea, but maybe Superbad 2.
But that's not the only Superbad-related idea to be tossed out there — apparently James Franco has mentioned a Superbad/Pineapple Express combo film, with the movies' directors each taking on half of the movie. Franco mused about the plot, "Somehow the kids get in trouble and we have to get them out of it. And Seth plays characters in both movies, so somehow we'd have to kill one of them off."
I have to say, it's a funny image to consider: Seth (Jonah Hill) and Evan (Cera) — and of course Fogell/McLovin (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)! — on a hilariously ill-fated adventure alongside the bromantic stoners Dale (Seth Rogen) and Saul (Franco) — and Red (Danny McBride)! But just a straight sequel with the Superbad kids would also be pretty funny. Which idea do you like better?

I didn't like Pineapple Express so I'd prefer a solo Superbad sequel.
1I turned Pineapple Express off halfway through, so I'd prefer Superbad
2I think that blending them is a bad idea. Though making a sequel for Superbad would be cool. Pineapple express too, but like I said, DON'T BLEND THEM!
3superbad/pineapple express hybrid!!! omg, that would be THE perfect movie. I love all those guys! they would need a way to bring in Paul Rudd and that would be great! I'm loving this idea.
4superbad 2, not hybrid
5If this comes true Apatow and gang will have created their own View Askew universe. I would watch any version of a sequel or combination because I really love Pineapple Express and Superbad.
6I like Pineapple better than Superbad, but don't mind either separate or blended sequels. As long as they keep the improv dialogue, I'm good
7Blended might be cool, but I wouldn't really want them to kill of Seth Rogen's character in Superbad. He and Bill Hader were awesome together, and you can't really kill him off Pineapple Express.
8He could play dual characters. No reason not to because both were hilarious.
9I loved Superbad, and lover Pineapple Express even more. I think "The Superbad Pineapple Express" is a fantastic idea!
10luvd 90% of Pineapple and 50% of Superbad, so as long as they take the best parts of each (James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson from PE and the cops from S), this sounds perfect. if they got rid of Seth Rogan and Jonah Hill altogether, it's be even better...
11i think seth rogen should continue to play both characters that would be so funny if cop seth rogen was on the hunt for stoner seth rogen
