This week's next-to-last episode of Pushing Daisies had me chuckling as always, and yet I couldn't help but feel sad. The show was canceled back in November, and ABC is appeasing fans by showing the final three unaired episodes on Saturday nights (it will soon do the same with Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money. But, with the exception of a few tweaks, the episodes weren't made to be the end of the series. They're just . . . regular episodes. Good episodes, but not the kind that are providing a lot of closure.
For a moment, it almost made me wish the show had just ended back in November — that way, I wouldn't have to go through the pain of losing it all over again! But then the other part of me realizes we're lucky to be seeing more of the show at all. I'm obviously conflicted about this, so I'm wondering: How do you feel about watching the final episodes of canceled shows?

i'll watch them regardless but I like it when there is some form of closure.
1Privileged's last episode was not good with the "to be continued" ending...
i remember being really sad at the friends finale, but it did provide closure. the gilmore girls one, not so much! i wish it couldve been a little more complete.
2sometimes. other times it's kind of depressing because you don't know if they are going to wrap up the whole show or just kind of end it like a season finale since it's not always expected.
3I always hate knowing that it's the last episode. I sort of prefer to watch the last episode and find out the show has been cancelled later. That way I don't feel any kind of angst or expect more from the episode than I should. It's probably crazy neurotic but it's my own little way of tricking myself into thinking there could be more.
4I'll always watch it anyway, but I do wish they provided closure. Otherwise, it's so frustrating!
5Yes, but also very sad--I mean I am loving every minute of these pushing daisies, but its bitter sweet!! WHY WONT someone else pick up the show?!?!? also sad about privileged
6It is kind of hard to make yourself keep watching a show once you know it is canceled. I've had Reaper on my DVR for a while now. And I doubt I'll watch the rest of the episodes of Kings whenever that comes back on. But you better believe I'll be watching the finale of Pushing Daisies...with a tissue box.
7usually it's a bummer but i watch anyway of course!
nothing was worse than the recent prison break finale. buzz didn't seem to cover it, (i don't think many people were faithful watchers) but it was downright depressing.
8Of course it's terribly sad to have to watch a show knowing its the last you'll see of it - its an experience I've had to endure too many times.
But at the same time, you can't NOT watch it. I held off watching the Veronica Mars series finale til this year, and I kinda regret it.
9i hate knowing a show i loved is being canceled - like life (but at least there was closure) and lipstick jungle (kinda closure, but not really)....
