A lot of action is going down on USA tonight, where one of the shows on my Summer TV top 10 makes its season premiere — and a brand new series debuts right after.

The first is Burn Notice, the slick, Miami-set spy show that's become a big hit for USA over the past couple of years. This season finds super-spy Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) breaking free of the people who burned him, trying to negotiate the world on his own terms again — and, undoubtedly, causing a little trouble along the way.
The second is Royal Pains, about Dr. Hank Lawson (Mark Feuerstein), a medical superstar who suddenly finds himself making house calls to the rich and famous in the Hamptons. It's the sort of premise that might have worked better when people still, y'know, had money — but hey, we're still watching Real Housewives, so why not give this a shot?
You can check out previews for both shows — plus a funny clip in which Michael Westen welcomes Hank Lawson to the USA family — if you read more.

i'm so upset - i didn't remember that royal pains was on until about 20 minutes in - but i did watch the rest of it and i really really liked it. i hope that it sticks around so i can get into it more. i'm trying to figure out what the deal is with the PA girl - we know that she's one of the rich but there has to be more of a story there with how she was talking to her parents on the phone.
1I just watched Royal Pains and I like it. He really is like a Dr. MacGyver.
2I also caught part of an episode of Burn Notice during its marathon and it's not too bad but the voice overs annoy me a bit.
Yay for Burn Notice!
3I will continue to watch 'Burn Notice' but last season was lame. I hope it gets better but it just has lost it's buzz since the first season.
4Can anybody tell me the song that was played at the end of Royal Pains Last nite??
