These days if the Hollywood bigwigs aren't remaking something, they're tacking on more sequels to an existing franchise. Franchises are getting reboots and TV shows are being brought back to life with all new casts. Sometimes it can be a good thing (Star Trek) but certain ideas probably should have been killed (cough! 90210 cough!).
So instead of lamenting remake or reboot ideas right off the bat, I thought I'd put it to a vote. The latest idea is to create a whole new Scream trilogy starting this Fall — even with Courteney Cox Arquette and David Arquette reprising their roles.
Is continuing the Scream movies a good idea? Or do you wish someone would kill it?

Tory Burch
Pedro Garcia
Matthew Williamson
Kill it. The third one was just awful. Actually, the 2nd wasn't that great either. And besides, I feel like this would just be the impetus for more stupid "Scary Movie" type crap by the Wayans brothers.
1It was dead at the third movie. I did love it though when it first came out
2Yeah, kill it. I loved the first one but the sequels weren't very good.
3I loved each and every sequel. Continue please.
4Kill it. The sequels were boring and predictable.
5Remaking something that came out last decade is so pointless.
6i wanna see another scream movie. i was only 5 when scream 3 came out but i have seen scream 1 and 2. i love courteney cox and i wanna see this movie and so do my friends
7i think that it's about time for the series of movies to end. it's too much at this point.
8i loved the trilogy of scream i would love to see anther trielogy
9if they bring back Neve Campbell. continue it.. if they dont then kill it.. screw David and Courtney... It was Neve that made those movies watchable, even though the first one was amazing..
10I agree, only if they bring back Neve.
11I don't know how anyone can be against more scream movies. They were original, they were scary, and they were fun; what more do you want of a movie? I think that filmmakers should build on existing ideas that are good rather than always trying to come out with something new. There is enormous pressure for movies to be new, because anything at all similar to something else is immediately panned for being a "copycat", no matter how good it is. So what if it isn't new, it's still good.
12You know sequels are a tricky subject matter as are remakes and reboots...but I love Scream so much and will always have the original films to look back at and watch again and again, but what the heck? Maybe they'll strike magic again?
13There's no real harm in trying, and I don't believe it really diminishes the effect of the originals.
Well, not for smart people.

this is totally the best comment here, and the first. honestly, its pretty bad that, for one, hollywood has to beat a dead horse such as this, because they cant get quality with original movies, and two, theres more people then me that are deathly afraid of movies coming out because they are afraid of more parody movies that remind us of all the horrible movies that came out that year. LOL
