Recently, I gave HBO's Sunday lineup the No. 2 spot on my list of 10 reasons to keep your TV on this summer, and tonight, we'll get to see all four reasons why:
- A "Big Love" rerun! New episodes premiere on Mondays, but this repeat airing gives us another chance to catch up with the Henrickson family.
- "John from Cincinnati." Sure, this show seemed pretty inscrutable during last week's premiere, but I'm willing to give it a few episodes to see what comes next.
- "Entourage"! We're being totally spoiled this year by getting to watch two full seasons of Hollywood adventures practically back-to-back. (By the way, don't forget to check out Yum's interview with Kimberly Jackson of Jax, the winery that supplies the guys' vino of choice.)
- "Flight of the Conchords"! i can't lie; this show about New Zealand's No. 4 folk parody duo is the one that excites me most. The guys did a hilarious interview and performance for the NPR show Fresh Air last week that's definitely worth checking out. Still not sold? Just in time, Buzz. I was thinking about canceling my HBO subscription, but have now changed my mind. The NPR piece is great.
1Think I'm gonna give this show a chance since it's on her recommended list. We usually agree. -- and there aren't a lot of choices on the telly this evening.
