There was good news and not-so-good news this week for ABC's Ugly Betty. The good news is that the show will be returning next season, but the ominous news is that it is moving to Fridays. Even though some argue that the Thursday night time slot isn't what it used to be for any show on network television, I still feel worried that this spells trouble for Betty.
Sure, the show is lacking in certain ways compared to when it first started, but when it's good, it's so much better than a lot of other shows out there. It kind of pains me to even think about saying goodbye. But I'm jumping the gun. Who knows? Maybe Friday night won't be the kiss of death for this show.
At any rate, we have one last Thursday evening with Betty ahead of us and the two-hour finale looks like a whopper. After the jump I've included two previews of what's in store for tonight. As you probably know from last week's preview, Henry is back and it becomes clear that Betty's not totally over him. Meanwhile, Matt's a painter! Ha! He paints a hysterical picture of Betty that you'll see in the clip and then asks her a pretty big question.
Who's tuning in tonight? What are your hopes for the season finale? What are you dreading? To watch the clips, read more.

I used to be such a fan of this show, but I feel like from the third season on it's been downhill. It's gotten a little too serious, which it doesn't have to be in order for the core message of the show to come across.
1I still love Betty, but I feel like the only one
And it seems as if ABC just wants the show to
fail--first replacing it with Samantha Who etc., now moving it to Friday--ugh! I just don't think it ever picked up its steam after the writer's strike
Which happened to a ton of shows (all my faves, Pushing Daises etc)
2Watching it right now
3the finale was really good !! I enjoyed this season ... it was very sad
4aww this was actually a very good season finale, better then DH or GA, but it was soooo sadddddddd, im still a little teary.
5What was the song that played as they showed the Mets stadium for the first time as Daniel was about to throw the first pitch???
6i believe the song was "love game" by lady gaga.
i am so frustrated with this show right now... i want it to be better but it's been so frequently disappointing!
7I love this show since it is one of the few quality programs on cable. Even if this past season was too serious, at least the acting was believable. I hope that this does well on the Friday time slot and doesn't head to an early tv grave.
8Is it just me - or should Betty be with Daniel instead of Henry or Matt?
9-
Maybe it will do great on Fridays - Why not give it a chance before assuming that day's the "kiss of death", okay? Then again, Saturdays are absolute crap with NOTHING of interest on... Maybe THAT'S when it should be on; I'd watch it on Saturdays, I could do with some good laughs on the weekend.

Can someone tell me if Ralph Macchio will be on next season? Love him ever since I saw him playing Johnny Cade in the movie: "The Outsiders"...
I am SO VERY HAPPY to hear that it is moving to Friday Nights. Now I can watch Survivor and Ugly Betty int he same week. I love the show and look forward to the next season.
10I was thinking the same thing Rossy. I am sorry that Molly died but it really says something when Betty is the first person Daniel calls when he loses his wife.
I am interested to see how far the tension between Matt and Betty will go with them both really seeing each other everyday now. I think they did an okay job setting up the next season and I know the Friday time slot will help me out.
