Apparently, we really need to pay our teachers more in this country. First, Breaking Bad's Walt White turned to drugs to provide for his family. Now, Ray Drecker (Thomas Jane) — the protagonist of HBO's upcoming series Hung — is envisioning a way out of his underpaid, underappreciated life by rising to fame and fortune on the strength of his . . . well, you know.
Yes, Ray — reeling from a divorce from his wife (Anne Heche) and a fire that damages his home — has identified a particular, er, "winning tool" that could bring him some success. And he's going to work that asset, venturing into the worlds of male escorts, porn, and other such escapades. Let's just say this already looks like the kind of show that only premium cable could make.

It looks really funny and I hope this will work for Jane's career just like Sex & The City did for Sarah Jessica Parker's. The man deserves more and better chances on the big screen.

7I hope that since it's on HBO, we get to see "the goods" at some point. I'm not being perverted or anything, but it's just for the fact that if the show were about big boobs, they would be hanging out all the time...It is such a double standard when it comes to nudity!
8The only double standard is the bias against males. All they show any more is male genitals. It has become redendant and disgusting. How about showing some vulva for a change. Guess not because there is a double standard when it comes to frontal nudity. Why is it that heterosexual males continue to watch this crap without an equal amount of female frontal nudity ? It is time to stop watching and supporting this disgusting trend. And for females who want to say that they have been showing breasts forever, well breasts are in no way eqaul to showing genital nudfity. it is well pass the time to start seeing equal amounts of female nudity as well. HBO has become quite a gay oriented channel.
9Penises are in right now. It is the last taboo. Stick a Penis on the screen or make Penis jokes and you have instant viewers. It makes up for bad writing or bad acting. Nobody cares about that when a penis makes an appearance. Everyone likes a good penis in their face. SNL would be canceled with out the penis jokes and things like Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Superbad, and every HBO or Showtime series would not do as well either.
10Why do they need to show penis? HBO NEVER shows a vagina in any of their television series. The most we ever get to see of a woman is bush, and that is very rare. Usually, we only see non-genital nudity of women. (breasts)If they won't show female genitalia why should they show male genitalia? Also, if the show is any good they should be able to draw viewers based on the writing and acting and not just use exploitaive male nudity to attract prurient interest from voyeuristic, sex-starved, perverted homosexuals and slutty women. If anybody wants to see penis so bad, they can go watch some gay porn!I hope, for Thomas Jane's sake, he has more dignity than that and won't allow himself to be exploited.
Also, it bothers me that penises are being shown so frequently in movies and television lately. Why can't we get equal viewing of the vulva? How about we put the full female genitalia (not just bush) on display too?! That's the real last taboo. It's an unfair sexist double-standard that the entire male genitalia (penis and testicles) can be shown in mainstream movies and television now, but the female genitalia (clitoris and labia) is still considered taboo. Whatever happened to "equality"? What's good for the goose is good for the gander; it's time that mainstream cinema and television starts showing vaginas too!
11Hey, HBO still shows reruns of Real Sex and Katie Morgans Pornucopia-- Plenty of Vaginas shown there (and sometimes Labia shots too!!).
12I think the point is that we don't need full-frontal scenes unless we go searching for it on porn sites. It's not that our culture is not ready to view nudity,the danger is that someone might accidentally stumble upon it while switching channels, and if that someone is underage- that may be irresponsible.
13Names and even avatars mean nothing; mine are no different.But all I hear from the actual women I know who will discuss the subject is that " penises" to use the scaredy-cat word in dance clubs or on the big screen are either attached to ugly guys or if attached to cute guys a " disappointment" ...whatever that means.( Hey, maybe God isn't a Woman after all.) I feel sure that if Hollywood execs male or female thought the big bucks were worth the public outcry or backlash ( in attendance, not so-called boycptts or picket lines) we would see entire movies about totally naked Fabio-type male strippers as a summer ritual as certain as Harry Potter or exploding robots. Count me in; I'd go just for the crowd reaction, and I don'tgomuch tomovies anymore since the leprosy started getting worse.

There is plenty of fully naked women out there on tv and the only penis I have seen was on a child on the show Big love which I am very angry about!!!!
