Though Dan Brown's book Angels and Demons is a prequel to his bestseller The Da Vinci Code, the film adaptation was developed as a sequel. In the movie, which opens this Friday, Tom Hanks reprises his role as Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon who "discovers evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati" whose most despised enemy is the Catholic Church. Together with an Italian scientist named Vittoria Vetra (Ayelet Zurer), Langdon "will follow a 400-year-old trail of ancient symbols that mark the Vatican's only hope for survival."
Do you plan on seeking out this mysterious thriller in the theaters, on DVD, or when it happens to be on TV someday? Or maybe never?

Just saw a sneak preview last night and it was like an adult Encyclopedia Brown. And I don't mean that in a good way.
1I have suck a backlog of movies. I want to see Wolverine, Star Trek, and Ghosts of Girlfriends past. Yikes!
2LOL @ Ninachequita. Looks awful. The books are terrible, the movies are worse.
3i'll probably go see it in the theater. we go to the movies every weekend and i'm not sure what else is out that i really want to see that i haven't already.
4I'm going to see it with my religion class in 2 weeks, otherwise I would probably just wait for the DVD
5they butchered the first one, so I will pass on this one.
6That poster is awful!
7Watch. I've already been invited to see it.
8Its an involved book, I'm not sure how they will pull it off.
I liked this book much better than Da Vinci Code.
Here's hoping the movie is completely butchered.
9*Here's hoping [Angels and Demons] ISN'T completely butchered.*
Lot's of new features lately, but no edit function?
10This book was much better than the Da Venci Code in my opinion, so I'll definitely be checking out the movie.
11boycott, get a bunch of copies from the 99 cents store (where it will eventually be), and burn. I've never witnessed such an stupidly awful movie that also blasphemes my faith (well, since The DaVinci Code)...
12Saw the movie last night (Sony event)
13Waaaaaaaaay better than DaVinci code.
Some good action scenes and cool effects!
