Not to be confused with the news earlier today about Garry Marshall's Valentine's Day movie, this is an indie drama titled Blue Valentine that has Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams starring in the lead roles. Now that Ryan's done working alongside Kirsten Dunst in All Good Things and Williams has wrapped up with Leo on Scorsese's Shutter Island, the pair is getting to work on Blue Valentine, playing "a couple whose marriage is failing. As their relationship hits the rocks, they recall better days."
I was moved by Gosling's tender performance in Lars and the Real Girl, and Williams's turn in Wendy and Lucy (recently out on DVD) had me in tears, so I think these two do well with the quieter indie fare. Plus, they look kind of adorable together, huh?

Erm, Michelle and Ryan finishing those two respective films ages ago. They're filming Blue Valentine together now.
1Great. Thanks.
2This sounds like an interesting pairing, and a movie that both actors would do well in.
3for a second i thought you were talking about ANOTHER movie that they were going to be in together - but this one - we've seen them on set already - so i guess i'll just have to make do with my one MW project at a time!
4I love them both and all but, isn't this Revolutionary Road?
5I don't think it will be anything like Revolutionary Road. We know nothing about this film other than the fact that Williams and Gosling are playing a couple whose marriage fails. This film seems to be aimed at the independent circuit and I'm almost certain that's it's not about 'The American Dream', like Revoluitonary Road.
6Anyone else think they should totally get together? She's a single parent, he's not with Rachel McAdams anymore... they're cute together!
7IMO They don't look like a "couple."
