i heard that Twilight got a ton of nods - and i'm thrilled beyond belief for them. i hope that they do win for a lot of stuff - and i hope that we get to see KS and RP on the red carpet together!
1I loved Slumdog Millionaire, but, Im hoping Twilight takes home the awards for MTV. I think Twilight is really suited for the different arena.
Cheers~ Grantz
2The Wrestler, really deserves the Best Song, in my opinion. I felt the same way with the Oscar nominations.
The song was a tremendous metaphor.
3All Angelina Jolie fans or for those of you who liked her performance in Wanted should vote for Angie.
4Twilight, thats all i have to say.....
5Twilight was a horrible movie with a horrible message for young women. I hope it doesn't get one ounce of critical acclaim. There are far better movies out there for those of us who are necromantic.
6I'm pretty sure Twilight is gonna win most of it's categories. It's the perfect movie for the MTV movie awards.
7really twillight is not as good as aspected....but a good time pass for young generation......i think Ironman and Slumdog Millionaire are best of best
8what the hell is doing HSM3 there?? just an enternaining movie, but is NOT good
9Ok, if I was to choose, I'd go: (I love imagining I could make all these choices)
best movie: Slumdog Millionaire
best female - Kate Winslet (though I doubt she'll win at such a teenager oriented event)
best male - the nominees really make me cringe, I mean, Zac Efron? WTF? anyway, Christian Bale was ok, not award worthy, but by far better than the others. too bad Heath wasn't in a leading role(
breakthrough female - Freida, I guess, although the nominees puzzle me a bit too. Amanda was good too.
breakthrough male - Pattison. It's not his first role by far, but the word 'breakthrough' is pretty perfect in summing up what happened to him this year. I wonder how he's dealing with the pressure.
best villian - Heath
best fight - I don't actually think any of them were to outstanding, but the Twilight ballet school fight will probably win.
best kiss - Twilight will most probably win, but I really loved the kiss between Jolie and McAvoy.
best wtf moment (love the nomination) - Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It's not just for the WTF factor, but I really, REALLY loved the movie and it would be nice to see it get some praise.
I wish they would inclunominating any of the HSM cast for the awards as a WTF moment - I would certainly vote for that!
best song - Decode. All of Twilight's music was outstanding, I'd actually vote for Supermassive Black Hole or Eyes On Fire, I liked them more. Or Paper Planes from Slumdog.
10WELL I LOVE TWILIGHT THE MOST BECAUSE THE MOVIE DEALS WITH FANTASY AND EVERYONE LOVES IT.ISNT IT?^_^
11well i hope iron man and twilight takes it but i hate slumdog millionare totally.the music sucks too.
My predictions
Best movie-Dark Knight or slumdog(Hsm being on there should be in the category for wtf moment)
Best female-Definitly should go to Kate Winslet, even though she's already won the oscar. Although I doubt she'll win at an award show like this.
Best male- Zac Efron definitly. he blew me away in that movie. jk I'd go for Robert Downey Jr.
Breakthrough female- Has to go to Frieda the rest of the nominees aren't even really breakthroughs.
Breakthrough Male- Rob
Best Comedic performance- James franco stole that movie.
Best villian- Duh!
Best fight- who cares?
Best kiss- who cares?
Best wtf moment- Slumdog that was sick!
Best song- GO bruce! decode my ass.
12twilight sucks, hsm sucks, iron man was ok, dark knight was awesome but screwed up the joker so bad, slumdog millionaire was awesome and had amazing music, mama mia sucks, bride wars sucks, prom night sucks, get smart was not bad, and the rest I haven't seen. I'm a teenager. I can tell you, I'm ashamed that people my age could be so immature to nominate piece of crap movies like Twilight and HSM 3 for awards. You can like them, but no awarding. At least I have the brains to appreciate good movies
13Oh the MTV Movie Awards. I often wonder who pics the nominations.
Seriously, Slumdog Millionaire in the same category as HSM? Kate Winslet vs. Kristen Stewart? It's like whoever chose the nominees couldn't choose between an Oscar rip-off list, and a list that accurately depicts the films teens were watching in 2008. Let's be honest; no one under 18 saw The Reader, The Wrestler, or Milk. All the awards will go to Twilight, with Slumdog getting the obligatory Best Movie Award (considering it's won every other Best Picture award this year).
14Well, Twilight was the one that won the MOST awards last night!! And I'm so HAPPY. From the seven noms that they had, they won 5. Best Movie of course, Best Female Performance, Breakthrough Performance Male [ROB!!!], Best Fight, and Best Kiss!! They just lost 2, Taylor's nom, and Decode for Best Song.. but yes.. TWILIGHT ALL THE WAY!! And I dont care what other people say about Twilight. Everyone's got their opinions.. and they voted, and thats what came out of it!! ~So DEAL WITH IT!!!~
