The new promotional video for season two of HBO's vampire series True Blood (following an earlier preview clip) is everything you'd expect from this series: sexy and bloody. There are no words, just Bob Dylan singing his smooth and bluesy single, "Beyond Here Lies Nothin'," but the visuals say a lot.
For example, it looks like Jason is getting down and doing some praying, signaling he's serious about finding his religion as suggested at the end of season one. That should be entertaining. Also, Lafayette is nowhere to be found in this promo, so I guess HBO isn't willing to hint at whether he's dead or alive. And Alexander Skarsgård got a haircut, which makes Eric even more good-looking (and therefore more dangerous) than ever before.

2Molly, i think you should read the books first. the show does not do the books justice, although for a book ---> movie/show adaptation, it's pretty decent.

8haha, seriously willowdiamond!! true blood is infinitely better than twilight (book and show) yet it doesn't get the recognition it deserves. but in a way, it makes sense b/c it's not exactly a series for young adults (and im very grateful for this). eric is seriously smokin, you should watch generation kill if you haven't. he has a bomb ass body

11I think that would be a huge mistake on their part since that would be associating (possibly copying) Twilight. I don't want to group those two together. Don't get me wrong, I love them both.
Best on TV at the moment. Anna Paquin is amazing but the whole cast and setting are brilliant. It's a pretty sexy and violent series so I guess it's not going to go down so well in a prudish America?

13well, fans of the book know what happened to lafayette right at the beginning of the second one, and if HBO follows sui tand does each episode as almost exact chapters like the first season/book...
i've only read the first two,but i find the show way more entertaining than the books. the books almost feel like romance novels, but HBO has managed to breathe some depth into the plots/characters. everyone should be watching this show!
14I love Alexander Skarsgard! and I love the character of Eric.
If True Blood follows the direction of the books, Eric will become more significant and definitely, lots more interesting. Alex is a great actor and I can't wait till how Eric will be portrayed.
The whole cast is great though and I hope this goes to lots more seasons.

I like this show but I have to say I don't think the acting in it is very good. It's still enjoyable though.
17I am so excited for this to start. I dont agree with how some of the characters have been fleshed out (jason in particular) but I will deal.
18i'm SUPER excited about the new season coming back. it's funny - when the show first premiered i wanted to watch it but missed it and then after the Golden Globes i started to catch it since they would air it every night at 11 and i'm hooked.
19So excited! I've read a couple of the books and I can't believe how close they are coming to an adaption to HBO. Over all, a great show and I can't wait for the new season to start. It's going to be fantastic.

22OK, STEPHEN MOYER IS THE LEAD MAN IN THE SHOW AND THE SEXIEST GUY THERE!!!!!!!!!! Come on the man just radiance animal magnetism, and raw sensuality. Alex is ok but he looks like any other blond hair guy from Sweden, nothing special and average. Not into blonds love my men dark and mysterious with an element of hunger in eyes for a wild time.
