Did you know that May is National Foster Care Month? In honor of this, I’m casting a look back at one of television's most beloved foster kids, Punky Brewster. When I was growing up, I adored this show and I wanted to be just like Punky. I also appreciated that it showed a non-traditional family — with all of its quirks and challenges — proving that family is all about love, not just blood ties.
If you loved Punky, too, then take my quiz and find out how well you recall one of TV's most entertaining kids!

7Yes! 80% I loved Punky Brewester back in the day...they don't make kids shows like that anymore.
8woo! That was fun. How silly was it that the dogs were named Brandon and Brenda. Also, Troop Beverly Hills was my FAVORITE!

10Wow, I must've remembered this show more than I thought - I was guessing on most but got 9/10!
I would watch the show with my Punky doll, and my family even had a golden retreiver but his name was Duke.
11It was my favourite show when I was little. I was so sad when they stopped airing it and all that was left was the Punky cartoon.

14I loved that show. I'd make my Grandparents call me in from riding my bike so I could watch it. Since the Grands were raising me, I really related with the unconventional family thing.
15What a great show this was. Still have a Punky Brewster doll somewhere.
16Thank you for this quiz! My husband has been doing a directed tv-watching project, and we just finished this show! How many of you were totally terrified by "Perils of Punky parts 1 and 2?"
17I got a 90%. Rad. Actually, I can't believe there wasn't any reference to that crazy, acid inspired episode in which they find Mr. Pieces, a man who lives in a cave (in pieces... strange).
