I'm not too sure about Evan Almighty as a great movie, but it definitely looks like a great vehicle for Steve Carell. You've probably seen the shorter previews on TV for the family film about a modern-day Noah who is called upon by God (Morgan Freeman) to build an ark. The whole thing is pretty absurd, but that doesn't stop Carell from doing his usual hilarious thing. I'm actually surprised by how many times I laughed at this trailer. 2Is Noah going to curse one of his sons in the end
I think this movie is going to be a good giggle. I love the teaming up of Carell, Grahem and Freeman
3I think it will be hilarious!
4I really want to see this! Mostly because I love Steve Carell.
5"The weirdo with a beardo"
Loved "weirdo with a beardo"! I'm with you Buzz: not sure yet how I feel about the film itself, but Steve Carell seems perfectly cast and I love Morgan Freeman.
6i think this ark-thing is absurd!!!
7I think this movie is going to catch flack from both people who don't follow Christianity and more devout Christians. The latter will have a problem with them telling a Biblic story in a Hollywood way and the former is going to have a problem with the story line, period.
But me and my family? The middle-road, tv-loving (esp. Office) semi-religious family? We're going to see it and probably love it.
And I like that it's a take off Bruce Almighty - my kids liked that movie.
8I saw a prescreening for this last week and it was hilarious!! I don't think it will appeal to those who are opposed to the Bible, but it is funny and a good story nonetheless. Go see it!
