I was jealous of the folks at the Paley Festival in LA last week when they got to see a sneak peek of the second season of True Blood. Well, kudos to HBO for slipping this clip out to the rest of us, because it's a dark and creepy first look at season two of the vampire series.
The clip focuses on Sookie, Bill, and Bill's new little vampire girl, Jessica. They're in a car together in the woods, and Sookie storms off after an argument. Bill's sure Sookie will come back eventually, despite Jessica's disdainful comments that Sookie wants him to chase after her. But then there's this . . . thing. Lurking. With long fingernails.
Alan Ball has continued to say that the show will follow Charlaine Harris's books pretty closely, so I bet some of you reading might know what's happening here. If so, are you pleased? If not, what do you think is going on? To check out the clip, just read more.

I loved the books, so I'm glad that they're sticking close to them. I'm so excited for season 2!
1Is the first season on DVD yet? Or soon to be? I'm dying to see it, and I don't have HBO.

Also, I really hate that picture. It makes the series seems a lot more ridiculious than it actually is.
3This scene isn't how it happened in the book...it will be interesting to see how they managed to convey this second season.

9I am so glad the show is coming back, I cannot wait! I loved all the books so I am happy they are staying pretty close to the main story line which is awesome
10I am so excited! He isnt sticking to the books "exactly" but thats okay as long as the skin and bones are there, and lots of eric.

13Oh, my husband and I were positively addicted to this show last summer. It's almost the only thing that keeps me watching tv these days.

16OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show. I started watching it and I was hooked. HBO comes up with some addicting TV. I was soooo addicted to Big Love I couldn't wait for Sundays...now I can't wait for True Blood.

19jessesgirl I agree. It's sad that people are into twilight at all when we have stuff like this and Let The Right One In. twilight is STUPID and I'm waiting for people to realize that.
20I JUST FINISHED BOOK ONE AND BOOK TWO AND LOVED THE CLIP! I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL SEASON TWO BEGINS! I DID SEE ALL OF SEASON ONE ON HBO. IT IS FASCINATING AND ADDICTING. BRING IT ON! YEAH!

22Loved SEASON 1 watched all the reruns on Demand and never have picked up the books. Cant wait til Season 2 opens I will be tuned in every Sunday to fill my TRUE BLOOD addiction. Goooo Sookie!!!!
23Anonymous, I disagree that BOTH contain "hot" vampires and werewolves. I dont go for the unwashed cheesy teen supernatural guy. I prefer mine mature and older.
24he is just using the plotlines from the book and twisting them.....there not even going to dallas for the same reason as the book.....they are going for Eric's maker..and also Bill is right there when she gets attacked, and the creature left no message so that is changed from the books, I personal like what Allan is doing, making more sense of the books....

26and i agree with everyone that says twilight sux. ive already read allthe previous sookie stackhouse books and preordered the next one...either way my husband bought me twilight, i tried to read it and just couldnt it was stupid.
27true, I've read the first books and I watched most of the first season, most of what happen did not happen in the first book, only on some parts...
And the thing that attacked her was the manead or whatever its called. But like that;s not how it happens in the second book, she does get attacked by it in the second book but its not how it happens.
And who the hell is Jessica, like the girl in Bill's car, she does not exsist in the first two books, seriously, why can't stick to the book?
But it is a good show, and I can't wait for the second season...
