Looks like young Mr. Efron is proving to be a bankable actor, as his movie, 17 Again, debuted at No. 1 this weekend, earning an estimated $24.1 million.
Meanwhile, Russell Crowe's political thriller, State of Play, came in second place with an estimated $14.1 million. Monsters vs. Aliens came in at No. 3, and it looks like there's only so much tween-love to go around, which might explain Hannah Montana: The Movie slipping from the No. 1 spot last week to No. 4 this week. Fast and Furious rounded out the top five.

well - it's great that his movie did well - i kind of wish that state of play was #1 since that was a GREAT movie but what can you do.
1I saw 17 Again this weekend. I really enjoyed it. Just a fun movie.
2Ah Zac Efron is a babe - and the movie is great!
3that was seriously funny, i had no idea zac was such a good little actor! i almost peed my pants it was so hilarious.
4I really liked 17 again. I will definitely be buying the DVD. And Efron is some other kind of gorgeous. Usually not my type with the bangs but he gets me in the gut.
5I really want to see it and so does my 5 year old who is in love with Zac. I heard there is a lot of sexually references etc so I figure its not one I can take her to go see.
6I loved Tom Hanks in BIG and this movie sorta reminds me of that except for he gets to go back instead of fast forward. I don't know about you but I would HATE to have to go back to High School.
I love Zac and I love 17 Again.
7-care0531 I wouldn't take a 5 year old your right there are a few sexual references.
this should really have been a "Caption-It!" contest.
8I really enjoyed 17 Again too
9Much better than I thought
I would watch this movie just to see Leslie Mann...I love her!
10i watched this movie on friday and it was sooooo good. i think i might buy it when it comes out on dvd!
