Lately I've heard some outcry regarding the TV shows and movies chosen for the recast challenges, with many people claiming Heathers in particular to be "too sacred" to play with. So, I'm asking you: Which TV shows and movies would you like to recast?
I should also repeat, again, that this is all in good fun. I am in no way claiming the original versions of these shows or movies were lacking. It really is just a game!
If you don't like the recast challenges at all, you don't need to participate. Some people think it's fun so let them enjoy it! To those people, I say leave your ideas in the comments section and we'll get to recasting those shows and movies!

I'd like one to dig deeper into the past. I think a Sunset Blvd update would be excellent and would be interesting to see recast with today's actors. Same would also go for Hal Ashby's Being There or even Annie.
Breakfast club, Sixteen Candles and Fast Times at Ridgemont High would also be an interesting!
1Agree with Phil's choices, also something where people can't complain that the picks are too old for the character. I say do the sacred ones too
, it's not like it's going to change for real; Sex and the City, Dirty Dancing (did we do that?),
perhaps. Also stuff with a lot of characters like Dawson's Creek, St Elmo's Fire, Grease and maybe a few other musicals.
2I think The Princess Bride would be hilarious to recast because those characters are so strong. My favorite to recast from that movie has got to be The Impressive Clergyman originally played by Peter Cook
"Mawage. Mawage is wot bwings us togeder tooday. Mawage, that bwessed awangment, that dweam wifin a dweam...And wuv, tru wuv, will fowow you foweva.."
man I LOVE that movie
3How about recast Star Wars (the original ones), I Love Lucy, Mary Poppins
Ill have to think of more
4clueless definitely b/c it would be even more ridiculous now than in the 90's!
5Full House, Sister Sister,
Buzz did you already do Saved by the Bell?
6Ooh, yeah Saved by the Bell is a good one Jess!
7JessNess - Omg, I Love Lucy was the best show ever! That one should be a good one!
8Ooh, Saved By The Bell is a good one!

10Whip- Dazed and Confused would be awesome to recast!!!
11Seriously, people have complained?! Good grief! This is all in fun--and one of my favorite features. I love the I Love Lucy suggestion; here are a few more: The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Waltons, Golden Girls (did we do this one?), Dynasty, The Sting, Citizen Kane,M.A.S.H., Psycho, Monty Python. Keep those challenges coming, Buzz!
12the Breakfast Club
13You have to be joking or else you are just plain crazy
14The Karate Kid is my vote ... but I agree with a lot of these suggestions!!
15I'm a fan of the 80's (early 90's too), so I'd love to see many of those favorites recast with today's actors
Growing Pains
The Wonder Years
The Cosby Show
Full House
Roseanne
Who's the Boss
for a movie... Pretty Woman! Who could capture Julia Roberts' character???
16oh yeah... and keep the challenges coming! I've had fun with the 2 that I've participated in, and it's fun! I know, for me, my feelings are often that the cast was perfect the first time around, but isn't it fun to think about who might have filled those actor's shoes and also done a remarkable job? I think so!
17This is one of my favorate things on here, I only participate when i can think of a good cast but i love reading others ideas that i didn't think of.
18Can't Buy Me Love, St. Elmo's Fire, Singles, Beverly Hills 90210, Little House On The Prairie, Edward Scissorhands, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Back To The Future
19These are totally fun to do! I suggest...
20Movie: Coming to America TV Show: The Facts of Life
Wonder Woman!
21I love the recasts, so please keep doing them. I don't know why anyone would be getting bent out of shape over a game! I loved My So Called Life, but it would be interesting to see a recast for that one. I also vote for Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, Family Ties, The Wonder Years, and St. Elmo's Fire.

28Little House on the Prairie
29the wizard of Oz

Married With Children
Happy days
Some Like It Hot
30Grease
The Way We Were
Roseanne
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Saturday Night Fever
Gilligan's Island
31I think recasting Cheers would be blast- Make it multiracial-as Boston really is-or maybe even put a May-December spin on it- in favor of the women...Say, maybe, Billie Dee Williams-(Will Smith?) as Sam, can't picture Diane-Suppose Christie Brinkley's gonna be looking for work?... the thin bald guy from Drew Carey's extemporaneous show as one of the bar flies...
