This morning I gave you the news that Isaiah Washington will not be returning to "Grey's Anatomy." While Washington clearly has some anger issues, I already admitted that I'm going to miss Dr. Burke's stern but calm presence around Seattle Grace (I mean, he was a "WIDELY RENOWNED CARDIOTHORASIC SURGEON" after all). So what do you guys think -- are you happy to say goodbye to Dr. Burke?

i'm not a fan of the show so i voted Doesnt matter ...
1Option 2 & 3 for me...
2I don't know....I think he was a good and stable character, one of the few on the show, so in that respect I am sad to see him go. But, I still think the show is doomed so I voted for Doesn't matter.
3i think this is a publicity stunt. i think he'll be back.
4I have mixed feelings. I liked his character, and the show needed someone who wasn't as emotional as Dr. McDreamy, he was a good counterpart for Christina, BUT, it is a working environment, so if it's not pleasant for the other cast members to be around him and work with him, then he should go.
5grr i wanted him to come back...GRRR
6I totally agree with ktownpolarbear.
7Doesn't matter!
8the show has already gone downhill, but grey's anatomy will be nothing iwthout Burke, even if Washington is a complete jerk.
9i'll miss burke. no more burktina. i hope shonda can recover from the changes in the cast to keep writing a kick-butt show!
10I'm afraid the show is going downhill regardless.
11I'm glad he's off.
12i love burke. i love burke.
13I am kind of bored already with how the show will deal with Cristina mourning over Burke (yes, I know he didnt die). And it doesnt seem like a logical plot twist - why Burke would leave Seattle Grace. Grr, this show frustrates me!
14Washington might be the biggest ass in the world but Burke was a great character and I think that the show will definitely suffer without him.
15The show lost me as a viewer 3 eps b/4 season finale. Incessant whining, unlikable characters and "near death and deaths close to Mer" are over played and predictable storylines. Isaiah's departure won't save the show.
16The show's already over. I don't know if I'll watch the next season. Burke was a good character. He did a despicable thing, but sometimes I think personal issues shouldn't matter so much when it comes to work.
17I never really liked or disliked his character, so whatever. Cristina can do better.
18It seems that the show is going downhill
19i liked preston burke.
20I'll really miss his character
21Its about time!!!! I never really cared for his character. I thought he was kind of boring.
22If this is only about the f-word, then it's too bad, esp. since he was really doing some good by combating hate speech. If it's about his general attitude problem (he attacked Dempsey) then fine. No one wants to work w/ someone who has a violent temper.
The show jumped the shark last season anyway (episode: ferry disaster, as if I had to say it) so I'm not too invested in any of the characters anymore. Not a one.
23what he's leaving!!!
24I'm really going to miss his character. I have no idea where Grey's is going right now :|
25He really turned me off with his comments and actions.
26I'm actually sad to see him go. This really makes me dislike T.R. Knight even more. (Sad because he was one of my fave characters). Honestly I think this is going to kill the show. But as many of you have said, the show was going downhill anyway.
27ehhh I am not sure. I will miss his character on Grey's, and I am not sure how Seattle Grace is still suppose to be a teaching hospital with only two characters as attendings now. I am at least grateful that they gave us a bit of closure to Dr. Burke and didn't fire Washington right after he said what he did. At least we won't have to watch the really awkward scenes between Cristina and Burke next season. I still love Grey's but I am soooooo disappointed with the way things have turned out and most of all I am really going to miss the interaction between the 4 attendings.
28Burke would leave Seattle Grace because he didn't get the position of chief and because he realized he's not really in love with Christina, SaraSmile.
Why did he have to break Christina's heart? Why oh why oh why couldn't they have found a better way? Killing him when he got shot would have been a better option in my opinion.
29I was upset by what he said off-screen, but I'll miss his character on Grey's.
30Why would anyone dislike TR Knight even more, because Washington is a jerk?
Word is that Washington has alot of behavioral issues,
and Knight is the victim here, not the villian.
Good that he's gone. Now,few will want to work with him,
and he quite possibly won't be so arrogant to others next time,
if there is a next time.
All of his wounds are self inflicted. He's an adult- act like one!
31Dr. Burke was an original, mostly positive, and well-rounded portrayal of an African American man on a TV landscape that is so lacking in that area. I'll miss him more than I'll miss Addison on Grey's. Too bad the actors and producers couldn't find a way to make this sad situation work out. Bravo, Preston Burke! And peace out, Isaiah.
32I didn't think his comments were right but I really liked Burke.I don't know where the show is going though.Last season wasn't that great.I think if they were going to get rid of someone it should of been Izzy.I think she's too whiny.
33I agree with MissHelloKitty.
34uh! i wish he would've just married christina!
35his behavior towards his castmate was unacceptable. even though he was an asset to the show, in my opinion he showed that he made it seem that he didn't respect the other people that he worked with.
36all i can say is, this was the only plotline that surprised me out of everything else this whole season. so kudos to the writers regardless of what made them change their mind about Isaiah. I was truly surprised that Burke left Cristina.
37I agree with LalaLaurie06...i was surprised Burke left Christina too. I knew either he or George had to leave but I really thought it was going to be George since he didn't pass his test. I also agree that the writing has gone downhill but it still doesn't stop me from watching.
38silly molly, its cardiotoraCic, lol
39yeah i loved burke!! hel be missed!
and then i spelled it wrong, lol *cardiothoracic*
