How young we were and how little we knew just a few short months ago, when we were reacting with shock and disbelief to the idea that Katherine Heigl's Izzie could really be killed off Grey's Anatomy. Now, after ghost sex and a serious diagnosis, I, at least, had come to believe Izzie's death was inevitable. But perhaps not: Heigl recently said she doesn't know if Izzie lives or dies and she'd stay on the show if Izzie survives.
So, folks, I'm throwing it to you: Do you think Izzie should beat those five-percent odds? Or should she die (presumably for good, unlike, y'know, Meredith)?

she has a 5% chance of living, of beating it, that isn't good. But this is TV and people miraculously survive through even tougher odds. I dont want izzie to live, I cant stand Katherine Heigl, but if she lives , whatever...i wont freak out and call shenanigans.
1i like her, but im assuming this is how katherine heigl will leave the show.so lets let izzie rest in peace.
2I've never liked Izzie's character. I've liked Katherine Heigl less and less over the years. Time for Izzie to move on. Be at peace with Denny.
3Just a few weeks ago I would've said that I don't care one way or another (I think I actually *did* say that in a comment, lol), but for some reason Izzie has really grown on me recently, probably from my re-watching of seasons 1 through 3, so now I don't want her to die! haha.
4I hope she lives..i really like her character (i know im in the minority) but also for the sake of Alex, he is starting to grow emotions and i think this would bring jerk alex back!
5I really am not a fan of Katherine Heigl, and I've always found Izzie to be very annoying. However I'm interested in this storyline now and I want to see how it pans out before I decide for sure!

9I agree with most of the above comments. I don't like Katherine- she is full of herself and I never really liked Izzie but she has been growing on me this season.
10I think I wouldn't be upset either way. I love Alex and he has been through so much with the crazy girl before and he has come out of his comfort zone a lot because of Izzie so I would love to see that go further, but if she dies and can be with Denny again that is cool with me too.
i used to love this show but when i graduated i stopped watching just because i was never home when it was on....i don't know much of this story line but i can say that i think if they're going to take her off the show anyway, they should kill her off and let her be with denny!!!!!!

Izzie has always been, and always will be, my favorite character on Grey's.
12I'm with ema, and this storyline has been GREAT for her. Izzie is the upbeat optimistic one of the group. They CAN'T let her die. And I like this new and improved Alex. How he says he sees he and Izzie side by side in 10 years. Oh, I just love them together. But, I'm a KH fan too.
13If she dies, I wonder if "dead guy" will still be hanging around the hospital look'n for her...
14i don't know if i really have a preference one way or another. i'm tired of the ego that KH had for the longest time so it may serve her right to be written off the show.
15Keep in mind there are future alex & izzie babies frozen now so you know there is a future story line with these 2 whether she lives or dies.
16I don't really care as long as its semi realistic. Also KH can do other projects while working on this show. She only had a problem with it because she said the writing was bad.
17And Lauren, when she said that she was RIGHT! The first couple of seasons were spectacular! Then they had a couple of complete duds. Even this season started out badly, but for the past couple of weeks, I got all excited again for the first time in a LONG time knowing it would be on!

19For all of the 5%ers out there I think it is important that Izzie survive this cancer. Right, wrong, or indifferent people tend to identify too closely with some of the stuff on TV. I think that it is very important to provide people with hope, no matter if it is coming from fiction or better sources.

21Part of me hopes she lives, but another part of me can totally picture a scene where she doesn't make it, sees Denny waiting for her, and they walk into "the light" holding hands. I think I'd cry haha.
22i was over KH for awhile... izzie too (mainly b/c of the denny storyline) but now, i'm hoping she'll live. if she dies, then yeah ok, she'll be at peace w/denny but that means more of denny. i'm over denny.

24Izzie is a spoiled, annoying, stuck up brat with issues and I CAN'T STAND HER!!!!!! She should die are be kicked of the show, she expects symopthy from everyone and that is what annoys me!
25izzie is not my favorite, but i love what she has done for alex (who has become my fav character!). i don't want to see a**hole alex back, sleepin around w/ nurses and crazy patients.
26I hope she lives. Yeah KH can be annoying sometimes, but I love the Izzie character. I agree with KH too when she said the writing was bad. When they put Izzie and George together...that's when I knew this show was going down hill. It was just so unbelievable for me and I hated how they turned George into some cheater.
27No one has brought up the fact that Derek is trying to save her. If she dies I think he'll be crushed

31I haven't been watching GA latly but I like Izzie and Alex together althogh I liked Denny.I never really liked Callie so I'm glad george cheated on her but George and Izzie was bad idea, Alex and izzie work because she is sweet and he is an ass they balance each other out. Don't kill Izzie she holds the group together, Alex wouldn't of been friends with the others without Izzie.
