As marketing ploys go, this one for the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie is pretty good. If you click here, you can enter a contest to bring the movie's world premiere to your town — and yes, the premiere includes Mr. Hugh Jackman himself! Cool, right? If you don't want to submit a specific town you can just vote for the town you want to win. The place with the biggest "X" (i.e. most votes) come April 17 will win, and the big winner will be announced April 20.
As much as I'd love to see the gorgeous Hugh Jackman here in San Francisco, I'm kind of rooting for a tiny town to win this big eventful night. Mr. Jackman himself explains the details of the contest after the jump and aside from being informative, I'm not gonna lie, I just like watching him talk. Sigh. Just read more.

who needs to see the premiere when everyone's already seen the movie leak?
1regardless of seeing or already having seen the movie, it would be fun to have the premiere in a smaller town and have the chance to see hugh jackman. Seeing movies on the big screen is always a better experience (IMO)! Especially action movies. Can't wait for this. Come to Palm Desert haha
2It sucks that the movie was leaked online- true fans will still go see it and movie goers will not take the time to look for it online.
3I don't know about you but watching a movie on a computer isn't as exciting for me as it is in the theater.
I'm not going to watch the leaked version online. I would much rather see this movie at the theatre for the first time. I think it's awesome that a small town(or atleast someplace other than NY or LA) can win...atleast I hope one does
4I just bought the film yesterday as I live in China and it's in all the dvd shops for about 1 US$. I liked it and will go see it in theatres too if it ever gets here.
I really like this idea of the premier and Hugh Jackman coming to a small town.
