So, who tuned in to this week's return episode of 90210? Those of us sticking with this show have been promised improvements, so I'll be curious to hear your verdict. Are you starting to see signs that things are picking up? The wardrobe looks a little better, and the overall production quality seems more modern, so that's good.
But what about the plot? Well, the bad news is a lot of the dialogue is still howlingly bad. And it's not even fun-bad — it's just bad. For example, at one point Annie's outside in the park at night with a guy from her play, and the first thing he says to her is, "The stars seem so far away." Oof. Thanks, Captain Obvious. However, there is really good news: Silver is totally out of her mind and creates the best student video of all time. Also, Annie's super-mad at Ethan, and Naomi goes drag racing.

Watching Annie get mad is kind of painful but also kind of funny. It's hard to turn away, that's for sure. In this clip, Annie storms up to Rhonda to give her a piece of her mind after she learns from Adrianna (because they're friends now?!) that Ethan was kissing her in the parking lot. Check it out:

Meanwhile, Naomi's "bad boy," Liam, is kind of mean and hostile toward her. It's borderline uncomfortable how angry he seems to be, but she still wants to be around him, so whatever. Here's Naomi on the other side of the tracks racing in a car with Liam. Listen to her screaming — it makes me laugh each time:

1I' m still mad that they totally eliminated that cute guy from detention! He just kinda dropped off the face of the earth. He and Naomi had great chemistry together, contrary to Naomi and the bartender kid. He looks like her lil brother. Yuck!

2Annie still annoys the crap out of me, but I adore Adrianna (that actress can act, unlike some others...). Thank God they made her a regular.
The beginning of Silver's video was actually pretty cool - artsy and all. Also, on this topic - why has Silver suddenly gone INSANE??? I get, love makes you do crazy things sometimes, makes you feel spontaneous etc. etc. but she has clearly gone off the reservation! I have to admit though, it is pretty amusing to wacth.

4Love isn't want made Silver insane, if you watch the show back long enough you'll see hints of Silver's issues in early episodes, before she decides she's in love with Dixon. And SPOILER ALERT
I'm pretty sure it's been leaked, and its fairly obvious anyways but she is going to be diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
5OMG! What the hell is happeningto Silver- She is acting like the chick from Fatal Attraction! Obviously not well. I heard she may have BiPolar or something.
6Annie is still annoying to me- I think she over acts.
I kinda loved this episode, even though it could most def have used some more Ade and Navid, prob the two best characters... Annie is actually not as annoying when she's mad, I like her better like this! Also I loved the whole Naomi plot, they can take that pretty far... And yes, Silver's movie, now THAT is entertainment!
7i really wanted this episode to make me want to watch the show more but it DID NOT do that. i wonder if tori spelling will have any impact. i don't know - i feel like next week we'll see silver spiral more, kelly gets a call...things just go nuts.
8I thought last night's was an improvement over the last few, but they still need to make some drastic changes. One of the most important being firing the person that plays Annie. I really don't want to be mean, but she can't act and she just makes everything too cheesy in a bad way. She is a pretty girl, but acting is just not her calling.

12Silver is certified bananas. She is acting like she is on speed...I am really looking forward to her meltdown a la Jesse Spano ("I'm so excited...I'm so excited...I'm...so...scared!"). The drag race thing was so cheesy, even cheesier than Naomi perched on the hood of his car for a tutoring lesson. Annie's face contorts like no other human I've seen before...
At this point, Adriana is my favorite and I'm REALLY surprised I just said that!

14Silver's video was freakin' awesome! I love how it goes from all artsy and almost new-agey to sex tape in the space of about 2 minutes.
Also, speaking of sex tape, that scene with Naomi and Liam in the hallway, where she's moaning all over the place, sort of made me blush a little bit.
15Tori is suppose to be coming back to help Kelly with a family issue so my guess is that she will be coming soon to help with Silver.
16That was the most all over the place episode I have seen in a LONG time. Good riddance to Ethan and Annie... Gosh they were annoying as a couple. I hope Kelly comes back and drags Silver to the loony bin

I loved this episode - except for Annie. Annie is really really bad acting. I think the lines she says are supposed to be how her character is kinda clueless, but she just doesn't act them well. oh well.

24I thought this episode was better... except for Annie. She needs to die in a car crash. Ms Grimes needs to reconsider her career choice.
I saw crazy Silver coming a mile away and it was great. i laughed during the last scene when she threw the bottle. I wonder how any one could not have seen this coming. She was a little of kilter in the beginning. She's just hit her manic phase and it is a delight to watch. I am also glad that Adrianna is getting more screen time. She is a good actress and her story line has soo much potential.

26At certain moments, the dialogue had me simultaneously cringing and laughing; who the heck is writing these scripts?? Still, I can't turn it off.
Last night's episode played into some of the character stereotypes: Naomi is the posh sex kitten, Annie is the sensitive girl-next-door, Silver is the emotional rollercoaster (pushed into an uber breakdown, not surprisingly)... the only one who seems to have turned around is Adrianna. I like her much more now than when the show started.
27The Silver/Dixon storyline is awesome! I love how Silver is getting crazier by the minute.t also had a great song, “Magic Show” by Electric Owls that plays right before Silver shows her documentary…the crowd sure did get a "Magic Show" haha.
Anyway I also read on another blog that Ethan is supposed to fall for Silver soon and that this storyline might be part of him getting written off? Anybody else know anything about this?

I don't know what happened once she started 90210.
Naomi looks gorgeous most of the time. However, there are some scenes where she looks like a Chanel-clad ape.
IMO they need to get rid of Annie and Ethan or atleast switch actors.
Still one of my guilty tv pleasures!
