Okay, I have a serious thing for Clive Owen and it's starting to get out of hand. The full trailer for his September 7 movie Shoot 'Em Up just hit the Web and I can't stop watching it. Yet with every viewing I feel a little more flushed. He's way too handsome for this world.
Anyway, the movie itself has Owen yet again trying to protect a baby, only this time the villain is a maniacal character played by Paul Giamatti, who's a long way away from Sideways in this role, and I actually think he's pretty good at it. He doesn't seem so much evil as he does thoroughly insane. For his part, Owen comes off as a poorer, cruder James Bond. Bonus: The trailer is really well-done, and uses some great music. 5Clive Owen is great; ever since he graced the cover of GQ during one of the winter months, I've been ... well maybe obsessed is too fanatic ... interested? But I must admit, I wasn't a big fan after I saw Closer ... actually, I wasn't a big fan of ANYONE in that movie after seeing Closer (sorry to anyone who liked that movie)... Anyway, this movie looks great, reminds me of Lucky Number Slevin mixed in with James Bond sort of deal.
