I agree with everybody, weren't the Volturi supposed to look a little older? I guess there's make-up and stuff. This guy....is a little scary looking. I need to see a better picture.

He was good in Sweeney Todd, but I also thought Caius was supposed to be older.

I haven't read the Twilight books, so I don't know if I'm "qualified" to comment on this, but I really enjoyed this guy in Sweeney Todd. I'll be interested to see how he ends up in New Moon!

Okay, number one, he's way to young. Number 2, since when does greasy hair and eyeliner have anything to do with vampires. Number 3, vampires are supposed to be exceptionally beautiful and pale, yeah, not seeing much of that in him, like, at all. Finally, number 4, in the books, Caius was supposed to be ancient in appearance with papery olive skin that was extremely pale, yeah, no matter how good the make up team, they're not going to pull this one off. I've never seen him act before, so, he might not be that bad but, still, I'm not that impressed so far.

I haven't read the books either and don't plan to, but I'm pissed at this!!! I loved Jamie in Sweeney Todd!

But, Aro is the main leader of the Volturri. Not Caius. Aro is the one that wants Edward and Alice.

you have to remember though that the vampires didn't age after a point, so it's ok that he's young. i think that given the right make-up and costume, he'll do it well. i remember caius from the book having an evil charm and i think that this guy could really pull it off. we'll have to wait and see i guess!

he is definitely way too young. i am very disappointed in this choice! he looks like a vampire... but not caius! they ruined the first movie now they are going to mess up the 2nd, grr!!

ilanac13 I actually agree with you! This may not be the greatest pic but I can see them making it work somehow.

I also agree with ilanac13; given the right wardrobe and cosmetic effects (also minus the liner), I think he could play the role well. I also imagined someone slightly older looking however this could work. He is a quality actor (loved him in Sweeney Todd.)

I think most of us all picture them old because when you read in the book how long they have been around you just imagine someone older. I imagined them to look more around Carlise's age which is obviously not happening. Once I heard about Dakota Fanning I started to picture them all younger.

I think he'll do well. Caius is the one who is mean and just wants everyone to go away. I think this kid will be perfect for the role. I'm SO curious to see who plays Aro. LOOOOOOVE Dakota Fanning as Jane, she will be ideal! This kid could almost play Jane's brother too... hmm.... Cant wait til November!!

i agree with the reminders about vampires not aging - the ancients are not necessarily old looking, they have just been around for centuries and have ended up with paper skin and milky red eyes. they might have been 18 when they were turned centuries ago for all we know. as long as he looks older than jane and alec it should be alright i think.

Vampires do not age, the question is can they act like some with 3000 years of mental and emotional exp? Do they have the acting ability to pull that off well?
