There once was a time, long before Real Housewives reruns on Bravo, where you could count on VH1's Behind the Music series to be on the air at just the moment you're too lazy to do laundry or pay bills. Those were the good old days (between 1997 and 2006, to be specific) when you could learn all kinds of things about people like Leif Garrett, Billy Idol, and Red Hot Chili Peppers from the cable channel's rock documentary series.

Well now, the network is bringing the series back, and its first subject will be — yes! — Lil Wayne. Great first pick. This revamp is apparently going to "focus more on contemporary artists than the veteran talent of previous incarnations." Which brings me to my question: Who do you want to see get their very own Behind the Music? I think a Jonas Brothers one would be kind of hilarious (I just imagine the little one saying something like, "I struggled my whole life until I found the music!") and I think Kings of Leon would make a good subject as well.
Now it's your turn! Who would be your picks?

Bunny Hug

Aimee Mann, Death Cab For Cutie, Lucinda Williams...aaaah, the possibilities!
I used to love Behind the Music. This is great news! (I hope.)
1I use to love Behind the Music.I would like Bjork,Death Cab for Cutie,Modest Mouse. There are so many.
2Oh my gosh, I used to love this show! And you're right, it was always on right at that sweet spot of pure laziness.
3i'd be more interested in them bringing back "where are they now?". that show was great. ha.
4I LOVED Behind the Music! But I like it best for classic rock groups, or groups that aren't cranking out tons of albums and tours. Bands with a bit more history and weight to them. I'd be more interested in seeing Elvis Costello than say, Britney.
And The Simpsons episode where they spoofed Behind the Music was freaking classic.
5Can they bring back Pop Up Video while they're at it?
6LOL...Pop-up Video!
I loved Behind the Music...there's a lot of musicians I'd be interested in learning more about. Although, I have to say, Lil Wayne is NOT one of them. Sorry.
7I love finding out exactly what the songs are about. For example Dave Matthews some of those lyrics are so strange and you always wonder what the hell were they thinking about or are they writing about- this show helps answer those questions.
