I heard she was great in this movie, so I think she deserves it. But I wish Taraji had also won She was fantastic in Benjamin Button.

I was hoping Marisa would win the Oscar for this category, she was more deserving of the Oscar than Penelope was. Penelope may have done great in her movie, but Marisa was exceptional!

All the actresses in this category were great but I think Penelope Cruz made Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Though it was a mediocre film at best. Not sure if this was the movie she should have won the Oscar for.

This was the one category where I thought all of the actresses had a shot and I would have been pleased with all of them. But I agree, Penelope was the high point of her movie and injected much needed energy into VCB. The other actresses only made their great movies that much better. VCB needed PC.
