The Good News:
More Zooey Deschanel for everyone! Yay!
The Not-As-Good News:
She's been cast in an M. Night Shyamalan film. Sigh. Have we forgotten that Lady in the Water so soon?
The Details:
Titled The Happening and also starring Mark Wahlberg, the movie "tells the story of a man who takes his family on the run when an apocalyptical natural crisis threatens to end civilization."
Predictions:
Wahlberg's character has a temper, Zooey does her adorable, quirky, too-cool thing and there's a "twist" at the end. Shyamalan or no, I am still excited to see what's Happening.

Thanks for reminding me of the worst movie ever: lady in the water. I mean how bad was that????
1M Night doesn't have the best track record, but maybe this one will be good! Great cast anyway!
2love her. can't stand him. one-trick pony.
3I like both of them so hopefully this will be a good flick. Never saw "Lady in the Water" though.
4Ive never seen any M.Night Shyamalan films, are they really that bad? Yay for more Zooey though.
5Zooey looks beautiful in that picture, and I kind of liked Lady In The Water
6he had one good hit with the sixth sense. all the rest...pffft..horrible.
7M Night may not make the most profitable or beloved movies, but darn if he's not one of the most interesting writer/directors out there!
8From the plot outline, The Happening sounds like it has potential to be very good. I guess we'll have to see what M. Night does with it though.
9Aww, have a little faith in M. Night! The Sixth Sense and that alien one were pretty good!
10I have such a girl crush on Zooey I wouldn't care if Paris Hilton was directing it...I'd still go see it (okay, maybe not Paris, but definitly M. Night).
11I'm not really into the whole M. Night Shyamalan films. But I'm a big Deschanel sister fans... and I think Zooey is just a great actress. I'll watch this one.
12I have a HUGE crush on M. Night Shyamalan. The only reason I would want to see this is for him because he is in all of his movies.
13I love Zooey! I actually do still enjoy M. Night Shyamalan...maybe it's because I didn't watch "Lady in the Water" yet. I've really really liked the others. I'll definitely watch this one.
