Newsflash, Harry Potter fans: Warner Bros. has moved the release date for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix to Wednesday July 11, instead of Friday July 13 as originally planned.

Perhaps Warner Bros. took note of the fact that Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End's early opening on the Thursday night before Memorial Day weekend caused them to have the highest-grossing first six-days in movie history. Or maybe the studio is just excited to premiere the latest Harry Potter movie. I'm thinking it's probably the money thing. Whatever the reason, opening night is now Wednesday the 11th, so mark your calendars, Potter fans.

8great idea chancleta, i'm sure we'll post something closer to the film release, partysugar and i are both big fans!
9MIDNIGHT SHOW HERE I COME !!
10Harry Potter equals Star Wars? Hell, why would the producers want to make that connection, when "The Lord of the Rings" surpassed Star Wars already? Of course, maybe Harry Potter has a shot at equalling "Lord of the Rings", considering he's coming from a major British literary source, but I doubt it. It all depends on how the last two films in the series, "The Half-Blood Prince" and "The Ghastly Hallows", depict the ultimate confrontation between Good and Evil. But I think the films, though destined to be classics, will probably hover somewhere just below Middle Earth and a galaxy far, far away.
11I absolutely cannot wait.
Although there was something kind of amazing about the film being released on Friday the 13th. Still, two days earlier is two days earlier. I'm not complaining.
12I can't wait!! I will most definately be at the midnight showing of this!
