This latest Lindsay Lohan casting news has us Sugar girls scratching our heads. According to an article in Variety, Sascha Baron Cohen's brother Ash is directing a movie called Poor Things which stars Shirley MacLaine and Olympia Dukakis. The movie is being called a "grandma gang comedy." Variety continues:
Trent Haaga's script was inspired by real news events and crime scandals surrounding recent arrests and convictions of elderly women for exploits that have included scams and cons involving drug sales, insurance fraud and murder.
This movie allegedly begins production today, Wednesday the 30th, though, as Pop points out, Lohan is headed back to rehab. So, Ash Baron Cohen is directing a granny gang comedy starring Lindsay Lohan who may be in rehab. I'm not too sure about this "news"... What do you think?

That's a pretty good picture of Lindsay. Usually she looks really old and disgusting, she still looks old, but at least she looks pretty and not totally trashy. Sorry that really doesn't answer your question, just some thoughts.
1i'm not too into the idea of a grandma gang comedy. maybe it's just a really confusing category. but i think lindsay does comedy better than she does anything else. her snl hosting job went pretty well, especially the harry potter skits and debby downer.
2Hmm... Lindsay's in it... Probably gonna be another flop.
3I think that Channing's in it and he's hot. Unfortunately, I may have to boycott since Lindsay's also in it.
4I personally have never paid to see a Lohan movie. (caught the Parent Trap and Freaky Friday on Encore or something) and I really cannot stand her. She was cute as a kid, but as she has gotten older (if 20 is considered old these days) she has consistantly made bad choices and never owned up for them. While I think her family situation accounts for some of that, there is a point where a person has to just say "woah, I'm out of control". Even Brit has come out saying she hit rock bottom. I think they had better recast Lohan in this flick if they want to film it soon, because honestly with the DUI arrest and such, given she is underage, I am hoping a judge finally throws the book at her. She needs someone to kick her in the pants, and it obviously isn't going to be a famimly member or so called friend.
