We got a taste of Ron Howard's followup to his 2006 film The DaVinci Code a few months ago, and a longer peek aired during the Super Bowl. Now, a full-length trailer for Angels and Demons, in all its dramatic mysteriousness, has hit the web. Tom Hanks reprises his role as Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, this time working to "solve a murder and prevent a terrorist act against the Vatican." Joining him in the film is Ayelet Zurer as Langdon's new female cohort and Ewan McGregor as the Camerlengo. Oh, Ewan. He looks so handsome, even in priestly garb.
Though Dan Brown's book is a prequel to The DaVinci Code, this film adaptation is a sequel. Angels and Demons opens May 15. To check out the full-length trailer, read more.

I really hope this isn't a let down! I loved this book more than the Davinci Code
1I hated the first movie so much, yet I would not be surprised if I go see this one, too... I am a sucker for stuff like this.
2I just hope they made the ending a little less ridiculous.
3here's the interesting thing about this movie. i read the book for the first movie, and really had no desire to see the movie, but a lot of friends told me that i should see it and i did, and was pleasantly surprised. now - i haven't read angels and demons, but i'm sure that i'll go and see the movie - mostly because my fiance wants to but partly cause the first movie was so good. i think that it's good marketing for this - seeing as how a lot of people are put off by the sheer size of the book...it's just one LONG book.
4I always thought this book would make a finer movie than the Da Vinci Code. Oh man! McGregor looks McHotty!

It's not a long book. My previous comment was removed.
6Woah, Ewan McGregor is looking mighty fine...
7But I don't think I'll bother with this. Its all a load of tosh anyways
This is the better of the two books imo,and I am excited about seeing it.
8Now that I know Ewan is in it, looking sexy, I am so in!
I liked this book as much or more than The Da Vinci Code, but I didn't like the DVC movie so I hope this one is better.
