Wow, this week's Privileged has a lot of fallout from last week's big confessions. We finally learn Sage's big secret, and Rose starts to realize that all her life people have kept secrets from her in an effort to protect her. She no longer wants to be protected, though, and it's interesting how much more grown-up Rose seems by the end of this episode. Meanwhile, Megan and Will are fighting about career issues and Marco longs to get back together with Keith.

Did you watch this second-to-last episode of Privileged? To talk about it, read more.
- So Sage's big confession is out, and no, it doesn't turn out that she somehow murdered her parents or anything like that. But she does believe she caused their deaths by whining and crying so much (about not being able to go to a birthday party with a petting zoo!) that they missed their plane, instead boarding the one that crashed and killed them. Obviously, a lot of other people had a hand in that accident, but I can understand why Sage feels responsible.
- Rose's reaction to the confession's super-interesting to me: She's mad, but she's not mad about what Sage did when they were 6 years old. Instead, she's mad that Sage protected her from that — and who knows what else? — over the years. It's a little sad to see her packing up her suitcase at the end of the episode, but she's not going far, just down the hall. There are lots of reasons why I want this show to get a second season, but one is definitely that I want to see how Rose acts when she's less under Sage's wing.
- Robert Buckley is hot, but as the magazine editor, he's also kind of a jerk. He gives Megan a hard time with all of her pitches while making Will photo editor (at his dad's request), then tells Megan he can't deal with having a conflict of interest down the line with his employees dating.
- I find it a little disorienting to see Megan so flustered by David. Not that she should be sassy with him, but it's startling to see someone (other than Laurel) shoot her down and talk down to her — and to watch her just take it. I like it more when Megan's all bubbly and overtalk-y. The addition of David is throwing me for a loop.
- But the part that got a real reaction from me in this episode was Will's behavior! My gosh, he's so unfair to Megan, jumping down her throat when she says she doesn't want his dad to get her a job. Projection much, Will? Sheesh.
- Is this curtains for Will and Megan? I can't remember the last episode that went by without them fighting, and the magazine issue pokes at one of their central conflicts: Megan wants to earn everything, and Will's more or less OK with using his wealth and contacts to his advantage. Not to be a Negative Nancy or anything, but I kind of hope they do break up — or at least take a little breather.
- In other love story news: Marco proposes! "Platinum doesn't lie"!
- Overall, I'm glad that they're using Marco more and more — and not just for a punny quip here and there. His storyline is actually moving forward and I like it.
- Since Keith turned Marco down the first time, does that mean Megan got to eat the turtles?

Hahaha to the question about the turtles!
I loved this episode. So sad there is only 1 more left. OMG I was so happy to see Jennifer Elise Cox play Keith's cat lady friend who was going to have his baby. "There goes my duplex." Hah! I love her and that lunch scene was great.
Judging from the preview for the next epi in 2 weeks Will is going to say that he wants them to break up. And sadly I agree. Will is hot and everything and they are cute together but I don't like his attitude lately.
I felt bad for Sage that she thought she played a role in killing her parents. That's a lot to carry around as a child and growing up. And its nice to see her softer side, especially with Laurel. Looking forward to seeing Rose more independent and how her relationship with Sage is going to change.
1you know, i'm not sure how i feel about last night's episode. i feel like sage's confession was a bit anti-climactic based on what the previews looked like, but oh well. ..it is a teen show right?
i love that Rose wants to be her own person, and to be honest, i really like her more than sage anyway. maybe it'll mean that she'll go to college and make a name for herself in a separate way than sage.
hmm..the magazine - well that ones an interesting thing. poor meg...she worked at a bad rag in NYC and then she tries to get her foot in the door w/ Will's father and she's just having no luck. i guess that's just for the best since you can't really mix work and play...at least not on TV.
i hope that their relationship works out though (m & w) - i kind of like them together.
2Rose was so cute when she was packing, not unpacking her pink suitcase, to move to the blue bedroom down the hall. It's a small but important step towards her showing some independence from her twin, who always wants to protect her. Don't worry, Sage! She isn't going to be that far away! Also, Sage finally unloaded her own burdens and guilt that she carried for years, which was good for her. Hopefully, Luis played a part in her learning to forgive herself for the plane crash.
3I hope that the show gets a second season and that we get to see more Robert Buckley. I think that he could stir things up in Megan's love life!
Um Jennifer was totally played by Jan Brady! Am I right?
4Boy I am going to miss this show when it isn't on for the rest of the season (I will try to placate myself with FNL...). I just really love it. Very interesting indeed that Joanna Garcia and Robert Buckley are supposedly dating in real life too. I guess we won't know if it gets picked up for next season until the spring?
5Now that Charlie's gone FOREVER, I'm a little apathetic about Megan and Will. It's still an open wound...
6Okay, first, I TOTALLY called it last week! It was SO much a "Save the last dance" reason with Sage! Hate to say I told you so, but I TOLD YOU SO! LOL
And yeah, I'm glad I'm not the only one that felt Will was projecting. He was a jackass! I don't think I've wanted to throttle him so many times in one episode before last night. Jerkwad!
Poor Rose. I want to protect her too! LOL But she's right, at some point she's got to stand on her own and not be so sheltered.
Hey, you forgot about Sage's speech to Laurel! That was so sweet, and even though Laurel didn't realize it, Sage was apologizing for "killing" her parents. Total "aw" inducing moment there.
And I'm telling you, NEXT season better be a long one! What's with this "Let's end the season in February" crap?
7kaks! Yes, but not the original Jan Brady. That girl was the Jan in the spoof movies from the 80's and 90's.
8Will is an ass. I haven't really liked him from Day 1, but this clinches it for me. I hope they do something more with his character if there is another season. His "poor little rich guy/projection" thing is getting old
9Will annoyed me. He's too whiney and jumps down her throat for everything. I couldn't take it!
10I just cried and cried at the end of the episode. This show really is all about sisters and their relationships, and then I started to miss my sister who lives 700 miles away. I really do love the sister dynamic. I love Kirby on Lipstick Jungle, but he's definitely prickly here! Will and Megan are fighting way too much, and how weird would it be to date a billionaire? I have never really warmed to Will's character either. Laurel was driving me crazy in this episode, I was like, why won't she just go to Rose and Sage right now and tell both of them everything? Why does she have to drag it out? Doesn't she realize the girl's are going to hate her more for holding back? I also started crying when Rose found out that Megan knew about her grandfather. I couldn't help it. This show is all about the heart. While I love Gossip Girl, it's a little too snarky sometimes, and this show is much more sentimental (Keith and Marco getting engaged and then hugging their hetero friend? more tears). What a great show! I'm going to buy Season 1 on DVD as soon as it comes out and cross my fingers for Season 2.
11I'm sorry to say this, but this really was the worst episode so far. The new charater was the only thing intersting; all rose and sage's secnes were dull. I can't wait till megan and will breake up at this point, he's become pretty pathetic. Hopefully the next episode ends on a better note!
12according to imdb joanna is engaged to Trace Ayala since June 18, 2008.
13I really liked Megan and Will together at first, but now I feel like it is Rory and Logan all over again...
and xopiperxo, according to People, you are correct: http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20207716,00.html?xid=pop
14Checked into Joanna's engagement to Trace. They broke it off on Sept. 11, 2008. Looks like it lasted less than 3 months. Will check further to see if/when she hooked up with Robert Buckley.... interesting that he's now on Privileged! Any word on Season 2?
15Or Season 1's DVD?
I love Will & Megan together. I feel the exact opposite of how everyone perceives Will. I think he is the one that gets sh*tted on by Megan. I hope they stay together!
16as much as i don't want to say it, i really think megan and will need to break up...there's been at least 2 fights per episode for the past like 10 episodes...and it's just a bummer.
17yay marco! he's one of the only reasons i still watch this show. but keith was really weird considering he accepted the proposal while he was in that fight with marco...
the whole rose-sage-laurel thing was just awkward. it felt totally strange and really separate from what was going on before...i mean, i thought the miles door was shut and locked up already?
I agree with clew. But I also loved Logan.
Megan is a terrible girl friend. Will is no angel, but most of the times I side with him.
18I'm a Will and Logan fan too, glad to know there are a few of us out there.
19Will is such an a-hole to Megan in this ep! He use to seem so cute to me, but I'm SO over him and his attitude!
And, the more & more I watch Privileged, Marco becomes my fav character!
God I LOVE this show!
What will I do without it?!?! I NEED them to approve Season 2 and get Season 1 on DVD!!!
20elle it looks like we need to stick together!
