Having seen the play on which Bug is based and knowing what Exorcist director William Friedkin can do, I'm curious to find out how Bug will adapt to the big screen. The story follows an ex-military man (Michael Shannon) and a lonely woman (Ashley Judd) as they become gradually convinced that their bodies are infested with bugs.

From what I remember of the play, the action takes place almost entirely in one room, and I've heard the same is true for the movie. This confinement works well on stage where, over the course of the play, the audience is dragged along with the characters on their descent into paranoia and madness. On screen, though, I wonder if the effect won't be too maddening. To watch the creepy trailer, read more

I love some some A. Judd, but this movie looks to be a flop.
1I agree with crispet - I love Ashley Judd, but I'm not going to head out and see this one.
2Oooohhh, this looks great! Don't like Ashley Judd, but this looks intriguing.
3I'll be itchin' for days if I watch this movie. Especially with the cicadas coming out in our area. YUCK nasty!!!
4So, until a friend who had seen the play told me about the plot, I thought that this trailer looked like the worst thing ever (it looked a little "Cabin Fever" for me). Now that I know what it's about, I actually want to see it.
5Wow, this looks pretty creepy and good.
6Sounds like it could be interesting, but I think I'm going to have to skip this one. I agree with asco00, I'll be creeped out and keep thinking bugs are on me or something.
