Writers' strike aside, 2008 turned out to be a pretty great year for TV. I've already told you about my favorite characters and favorite episodes of the year, and today I've got a list of my 10 favorite shows. Of course, many more shows than just these kept me laughing and occasionally sobbing all year long — I could have had a nine-way tie for 10th place — but ultimately, these are the 10 that stand out in my mind the most as the best of 2008. I love Mad Men. It is different then anything that is on TV. You never know what to expect.
1Other than the Office, and 30 Rock, I don't share the love for the rest of the shows on the list.
I am over Lost and House and moved on.
Since I am in advertising, I don't particularly like watching Mad Men, a show that takes place in an ad agency. The drama at my agency is plenty.
Never managed to get into Chuck and Pushing Daisies.
My list would include True Blood, Fringe, The Mentalist, Breaking Bad and Dexter.
2I like some of these shows, some I don't watch at all. Lost, Chuck, Dexter, True Blood are my main 4 shows that I cannot miss!

5Mad Men tops my list! What a great show. House and The Wire are favorites as well.
