
The only real thing I've heard about Goya's Ghosts is that Natalie Portman has a nude torture scene in it, which many of the male-helmed movie blogs are weirdly excited about. Aside from that disturbing aspect, the film looks intriguing: Portman plays Ines, the teenage muse to famous Spanish painter Francisco Goya. Falsely accused of heresy, Ines is imprisoned and tortured by the Spanish Inquisition. Much of Goya's rich, dark and often grotesque artwork is featured. I saw this movie about two weeks ago and must say that it was incredibly disappointing. I think it was highly ambitious, but completely missed its mark. I'd be interested to see what others think.
