A recent Love Actually-based Buzz Brainteaser prompted a few of you to share in the comments which of the movie's many storylines are your favorites. So, I figured it was time for a poll.
I'm having a hard time deciding, personally. I cry each and every time (every time!) Aurelia says "Just in cases," and who can resist Colin Firth? But the storyline with Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman's characters gets me right in the feelings, too. I also love Laura Linney's character, Sarah, and I may or may not have a habit of fast-forwarding to the scene that features a shirtless Karl (Rodrigo Santoro).

5That was tough. I went with Colin Firth. That is such a sweet storyline. I also love Bill Nighy and the manager...they're hysterical. And of course, Keira Knightley's is really cute too.
I think Laura Linney's and Emma Thompson's story's are so heartbreaking.

6Aww just thinking about this movie makes me want to watch it tonight if I wasn't so overwhelmingly busy! I loved Hugh Grant's storyline though and Colin with the American girls is just too funny for words!
7I don't know! I love them all, they all balance each other perfectly.
Does it bother anybody else that Keira Knightly was only 18 when this movie was filmed/came out? And her character was getting married to a 30 year old? That just bugged me a bit but that part with the note cards was so cute!
8it was b/w keira knightly and the little boy and his dad. the little boy and his dad won out. i just watched this the other night and fell in love with it all over again!! oh and the hugh grant story line was great as well!!

10Billy Mack and Joe has to be my favorite. Billy is a great character, totally hilarious, and Joe his long suffering partner. It may not be romantic love, but it's a bond that's lasted through years for these men. Yay bromance!
(and don't hate on the term just because brody jenner douched it all up on us)

14Love this movie! I picked Jamie and Aurelia because it is so sweet when they are talking to each other in different languages that they don't understand but essentially saying the same thing. Plus the scene where he proposes is so cute and funny. But the Billy Mack and his manager relationship is funny too, especially at the end when Billy leaves Elton John's party to spend christmas with Joe and tells Joe he loves him (in a non-romantic way) and Joe says "Ten minutes at Elton John's and you're gay as a maple!" That line always cracks me up.
The Keira Knightly storyline is awful because the best friend (Mark) is totally inappropriate and she kind of leads him on at the end. While the husband has no idea.

16Wow, this is such a great movie and somehow I never get tired of watching it, even though I've seen it about 10 times by now. Once again this year too!
17So hard to decide!! All the relationships made the movie amazing... but I loved Thomas Sangster and Joanna could really sing, and they were so cute together, lol. And I loved the relationship between Daniel and Sam. Loved Jamie and Aurelia (close second) and I wish they had more scenes with Keira and Mark... I also wished it had ended differently, but that would have been another movie. I wish Sarah and Karl/Carl had also ended up together....

I had to go with the minority and vote for the porn stars. All the storylines in this movie are amazing, but that one was just so fresh and quirky-loved it!

21I love them all...but I think Billy Mack's is the one that I laugh the most at. However, Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman's storyline is realistic...the scene of her trying to pull it together in the bedroom makes me cry everytime. She is phenomenal.

23i love natalies line when she is looking for her coat. makes me laugh everytime. and when the girls are asking colin to say things and he says bottle and there isnt an accent when he says it. every story line is great but natalie and david is my favorite.
24I love the one with the guy's manager. It's the only one I can remember. Except for Keira Knightly's. This movie really made me hate Keira Knightly. She was so snotty! What, it's not enough you have a hot husband AND his hot best friend pining for you? Poo.
25All of them are great-but my favorite is David and Natalie-I think it's so cute how the new prime minister falls in love with her. And I mean c'mon it's Hugh Grant!
2nd really close one is Sam and Daniel-it's so sweet-when Sam finally calls Daniel dad, I get to emotional! They've bonded over the mother's death by helping Sam express his love for Joanna.So cute.
Jamie and Aurelia was my #1 favorite, it still is up there-ah I love then all! Billy Mack! Emma Thompson does the best acting in this film hands down-the bedroom scene with Joni Mitchell?!?! *TEARS*
26well i'm torn about this one. i said juliet cause i LOVE anything keira is in, but i think that sam's story is the sweetest cause kids are truly the cutest when they are in love.
i do also like hugh's story line though!

28it was a hard choice! i picked daniel and sam cause it was just so touching. jamie and aurelia would be next. though who can't help but laugh at bill nighy in his role! and yes emma thompson knocks it out of the park as always. i totally have to go home and watch this now!

The David/Natalie storyline is my favorite. Hugh's delivery of some of his lines kill me everytime - "Oh God, it's the longest street in the world..."

35Oh wow this is very hard!This is one of my all time favorite movies. I'd say Karen and Harry's story. I know it didnt have a happy ending but I was crying so hard when Karen found out that he bought a gift for that other girl. I also loved Daniel and Sam's storyline. That kid was simply adorable

41kmckay — I'm so happy to find kindred spirits here! I really do love this movie. For some reason, I'm loving it more than ever this year. I've now watched it four times. Is that sad?

46i love this movie.. just watched it right now - it was really hard to pick one favorite storyline/couple... buzz i totally agree - it's adorable when sam says - cuz she's heaven! love it!!!!! and when his dad says you can have more than one love and he's like - no she's the one! ...
47or when natalie gives david the christmas card and she tells him that she's always been his...
and when mark writes those notes while silent night is singing in the background... i know it's kinda bad that he totally professed his love to her but when he walks away and says enough.... it was touching....
i can go on and on - so let's just say - i think the whole movie is just one big favorite scene...
