Opening this Friday, Dec. 19, Seven Pounds stars Will Smith as an IRS agent with a secret who "embarks on an extraordinary journey of redemption by forever changing the lives of seven strangers." You can watch the trailer here.
Is this something you'll seek out in the theaters, or rent on DVD? Maybe you'll just wait for Seven Pounds to come on TV someday, or perhaps you'll never, ever see it, not ever.

I have a policy that I have to see any movie that Will Smith does in theater.
1lol menthadict I'm not a Will Smith fan either. I did, however, just download a screener of this so I'll be watching it later. I already know the secret though.
2yeah, absolutely no interest in seeing this. the last few will smith movies haven't really peaked(sp?) my interest for some reason
3I'll add this to my Netflix list. I'm not a Will Smith fan, either, but I wouldn't mind seeing it at home sometime.
4I'm a Will Smith fan
I'm intruiged by this, but I think I'll wait to read some reviews before deciding to see it in theaters or not...
(Going to see a movie in the theaters seems like a luxury these days! Must choose carefully.)
5I'm a Will Smith fan, and I was fascinated after watching the first trailer! I'm definitely seeing this one in the theater. Personally I think Will Smith has done a great job choosing his latest films, edging away from the Men in Blacks and Wild Wild Wests of old to less forgettable, emotionally engaging movies. I don't see him making an exception for Seven Pounds.
6Love Will Smith, so for the first time in a long time, watch.
7The trailers I've seen haven't given me any clue what the movie's about. I might rent it on pay-per-view on a boring night.
8I'm not sure I've ever seen a poll on Sugar that even in all 4 choices!
9I'm intrigued by the trailer. I'm hopefully seeing it this weekend.
10I just watched. It was really boring.
11i'm gonna watch it because i love will smith in comedies and dramas. even if it's not that great a movie it looks like he turns in a great performance.
12I don't know what this film is about yet but based on the lead I would say pass. I have a huge dislike for Will Smith, he seems so full of himself, ugh!
13i feel like i'm actually going to be let down by a movie that he does for once. i'm just not overly excited about the content of this one ...don't know what to say about that one. if it comes on TV then i guess i'll check it out then - or perhaps netflix it.
14I love me some Will Smith, but nothing I've seen about this movie makes me want to see it. And what's with the title? I get the whole "seven strangers" thing, but why "pounds?"
15i LOVE will smith, so i'll be seeing this and bringing a box of tissues to avoid the ugly cry
16I dislike sad movies, so I won't see it. I know what is 7 pounds, so I've already guessed the end.
17POSSIBLE SPOILER
I think the "seven pounds" refers to The Merchant of Venice, in which people were required to pay "a pound of flesh" to creditors. I can't really say for sure that this is a spoiler, but I think he kills someone (accidentally) and feels he must atone for it by killing himself and giving his organs to the seven strangers. If you watch the trailer and think about it, it's pretty obvious. (Rosario Dawson's character needs a heart, Woody Harrelson's is blind.) (Unless, of course, this is not what the movie is about.)
18POSSIBLE SPOILER
Oh, and supposedly, if you add up the weight of the organs, it also equals seven pounds. Although, I question this, because a lot of organs weigh less than a pound. Maybe the heavier ones make up for it.
19OMG, lillimbo you are a genius. Now I must see it to see if you are right. It is all about the acting anyway.
20I could be wrong, but I think that's what it is...I will probably still see the movie anyway, but I will most likely wait until it comes out on video. There are way too many movies I want to see right now!
21lilkimbo you're right.
22I love Will Smith, but the theatre is to expensive these days. I will wait to rent/watch on demand.
I rented his last three movies: I Am Legend, Hancock, and The Pursuit of Happyness.
The only one I would have preferred to see at the theatre is I Am Legend, although they all were good.
I like to watch slow/sappy/ and feel good movies at home cuddled up on the couch with a blankie.
23I can't wait to see this. Seven Pounds, Benjamin Button, and Marley & Me are my must sees this winter... all the rest can wait till I can rent them.
24Rent. It looks too depressing to watch in the theaters.
