On the one hand, it's Christian Bale and it's a gritty, action-packed Terminator story. On the other hand, for some reason I'm not all that intrigued about the movie after watching this. What do you think of the trailer for Terminator Salvation?

It's Christian Bale! Yes, please.
1This looks awful. What really made the two movies for me was Linda Hamilton. The progression of Sarah Connor as a character was really interesting. Her going from a scared woman to a real bad ass and strong willed woman is what I liked that about the series. But without Linda Hamilton's character, the 3rd installment was really lacking in story. I kind of feel the same way about this installment. I just can't get all that excited about it. I tried watching Sarah Connor chronicles. I couldn't get into it, They had Sarah Connor doing things I never thought she would ever do. Like living on the grid, and saying stuff she would never say. I found it difficult to watch.
2I am pumped, I have loved the terminator series since its beginning, through the second, and third, and now with this one. The third one being amazing, it tied alot together.
People who dont get it? wont be excited. Twilight its not.
3Christian Bale is enough motivation for me to go see it.

5As a HUGE (obviously) fan of the first two movies, I say mmmmmmmmmrmph.
It looks crappy. If Transformers was set in an apocalyptic future, this would be the trailer for it.
I'm SO tired of Hollywood milking great franchises for all their worth. The Terminator series should have ended at T-2. I agree with Lawrah. Linda Hamilton makes it, man!
Though, if CB takes his shirt off at all, I might be persuaded to sneak in to see it.
Also, is he not kind of using the Batman voice here? Weird...

9Some scenes looked they could have come straight out of Mad Max 2. It doesn't seem to have the same feel as the first 2 movies, relying too much on action rather than on building of anticipation and foreshadowing towards a climactic ending. But I'll still watch it because a) I have to watch anything and everything Terminator (I do watch the Sarah Connor Chronicles) and b) it has Christian Bale.

14i really want to like this movie but i just can't get into it. i adore christian bale and i think that if there was any reason for me to go see it - it would be him - but i just don't know.
15The "Terminator" franchise just doesn't do it for me anymore.
