Are you serious? Robert Pattinson does not even compare to Heath Ledger or Sean Penn or anyone else on that list

4Heath Ledger was completely unrecognizable in his role of The Joker. Everytime he was on the screen I had to remind myself who he was, rather than by being distracted by the actor himself. This is why I think he was the most amazing actor this year.
5I'm sorry to everyone who vote for Rob Pattison, although he is goood, he is not comparable to anyone on that list.
6In my opinion, Heath Ledger was the best. He put himself so into the role of Joker that you really did forget that it was him, only great actors can do that.
Sean Penn, hands-down. He just disappears into that role. Phenomenal.

Heath Ledger just wasn't that impressive. I thought Aaron Eckhart outshone him in that movie. But I understand the sympathy vote. I voted for Philip Seymour Hoffman. I didn't see either of those movies (yet), but the man is always brilliant.

13I don't know how anyone BUT Heath could win this one, and I'd hope that he wins the Oscar too. He deserved it for that role. Wow. I mean, seriously, even Jack Nicholson's joker, which was good, didn't even come CLOSE to this performance. Look at some of the most devious parts every played in film. I'm sure there isn't anyone else that did better. I'd say this psycho was better even than the quintessential psycho, Norman Bates. Bates creeped me out, and I wouldn't have stayed at his hotel for one second, but I'm telling you, if that same hotel had been run by The Joker as played by Heath, I wouldn't have stayed in the same state. Just one look from him, and....

Love Christian Bale and Daniel Craig too. And Sean Penn and Phillip Seymour Hoffman are always excellent.
But Heath just totally pwns all.
22Michelin I understand that everyone is allowed their own opinion, but Heath Ledger isn't getting the sympathy vote, maybe a few, but he truly stole the show this year. He gave the character a terrifying edge that not many can give.

25Really there isn't enough love for Ralph Fiennes out there. The guy is a class act.
26While I believe that Heath's performance was a really great, Sean's performance in "Milk" was fantastic. Both actors really took their characters as themselves and it shows in the final product, but I have to give the edge, for my vote, anyways, to Sean.
27Heath Ledger. I also can not wait to see Milk. Heath, Christian, and Aaron (plus maybe Sean, Josh, and James) were all excellent this year.
28Robert Pattinson shouldn't even be on this list. Also, I really couldn't vote for some of them since I haven't seen their performance in the movie listed next to them. I wonder if Heath really will get a posthumous Oscar this year...
29heath hands down. before he passed, i was very livid that he was playing joker because i thought that no one can beat jack nicholson (still does not beat jack, but comes a close second)... his performance definitely wowed me.
i can't get pass christian bale's raspy batman voice, though i heart him.
and seriously, robert patterson does not belong in this category. at all.
