MTV is reporting that Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson have dropped out of Outsourced, Hank Azaria's directorial debut that was supposedly developed with Vaughn and Wilson in mind. The article continues:
“It was developed for Vince and Owen, but they’re not doing it anymore,” director Hank Azaria revealed.
“The Simpsons” voice actor has put his acting career on hold to shoot “Outsourced,” a comedy that marks Azaria’s directorial debut. “It’s about these two guys who work at a factory in Southern California,” Azaria said. “Their jobs get outsourced to Mexico, and they decide ‘Well, we like Mexico. Let’s go down there and work down there’. And they become like the Norma Raes of Mexico.”
Personally, I say "good riddance." Hank Azaria is one of the funniest people in Hollywood, and also one of the least appreciated, in my humble opinion. Vaughn and Wilson — while funny sometimes — have often struck me as cocky and obnoxious, so I've decided to be mad at them on Azaria's behalf. And maybe this just clears the way for some better comedic actors to take their places.

9i agree: owen and vince are prime examples of this ridiculous double-standard we have in hollywood: ugly guys we try to convince ourselves are cute just because they are funny/charming/rich/quirky/brooding/all of the above. they only get women because they have money and fame. why come people are always nit-picking women like Aniston for her weight and looks yet vaughn is allowed to remain a bloated, lanky, balding creep? look at tv: a fat/ugly guy is always married to hot wife. beauty and the geek? would never happen with a bunch of hot guys and not-so-cute girls. those men would never see the 'inner beauty' of an unattractive woman.
if women stopped swooning for these ugly losers the world would be a much better place. don't believe the hype, ladies!

13Hank Azaria really is a great actor and comedian. Did anyone else get totally hooked on the Showtime drama, Huff. It was really great. Plus, who doesn't love the Simpsons!

15Well he was funny in the birdcage. Well I hope the film will do well. Owen isn't funny at all in my eyes. He's charming but not funny. Vince is a good actor. To me he isn't that funny either. I've seen him in serious roles and he was good.
16He should ask Jake to do the role. I have never seen him in comedy really. I think Jake is pretty funny in real life. I have seen him in interviews. He's so laid back and funny.

19Classic example of the double standard is news anchors. Check them out, if the women looked like the men, they wouldn't be on the air.
I've never met Vince, but my sister has and says he is very nice and posed for pictures with her and her then bf. I think he is hot and I would do him. Though he looks kinda gross in the pic above.

21You're totally right Buzz. Hank is awesome and totally under-rated. Remember when he dated Helen Hunt? Then she won an Oscar, then they broke up, THEN we never heard from her again? Hank ROCKS!!!

23Yep that's who I meant. He's funny in real life. He makes jokes about most things and I think he has a good sense of humour. Most importantly he hasn't done a comedy yet. Bubble Boy was a long time ago, his dad directed it.
